I had the $5 burrito special and it was quite tasty! I had been here once before and this visit reaffirmed my initial positive impression. Or hit it up on Taco Tuesday for fantastic street tacos.

I did a u turn to stop and eat here . I really like small Mexican style restaurants and eat at them often. I am rating Vaquero as three stars as my experience was just average. I did not receive a glass of water which I really wanted . Yes I could have flagged down the wait person who was busy at the time. Or he could have seen my empty water bottle which I hoped to fill.
I further can describe a meal as do I want to take the leftover portion home or leave it . I did...

Great experience and terrific food. We got there a half hour before closing, just as they were cleaning up. The food was hot and fresh. The special was very tasty. Now I see why this place is always busy. Can't wait to come back!
