A great spot along highway 101 south of Manzanita, OR. Good food and service. This place is much better than the place down the road. Had the chicken fried steak covered in sausage gravy, it was great. The portions were good size. The ambiance was quiet and comfortable, unlike the place down the road. The down the road place (which i will not name) is cold, noisy, very little parking and food was bland and tepid.

We arrived for dinner at 6:55p.m. On Thursday evening. As soon as the waitress saw us coming towards the door she put up the closed sign even though the hours stipulate a 7:30p.m. closing time. Very disappointing.

For what you pay for, small portions . More importantly, correcting a wrong order that they did not come thru with. Breakfast Omelette m hash browns small order . Requested dry wheat toast. Received Rye toast heavily buttered . Asked for what I ordered and it did arrive , after my breakfast was finished. Not busy. I think language barrier possibly with wait staff. There are worse things in life. All good. I review what it is . Possibly an "Off" day for this business. I've had plenty.

Friend had a basic breakfast where everything was just perfect.
A local favorite. Great, straight forward food. Family owned. Not fancy but very satisfying! Wonderful homemade pie and sourdough bread.
