So much flavor! Pasta is cooked to perfection, sauces are rich, fresh and scrumptious. The pizzas are customizable with a wide variety of toppings. Restaurant is delightfully decorated and seating is comfortable. The deck overlooking the Nehalem River is so pleasant and includes heaters for the coastal evenings. Great wine selection and full bar. This place welcoming and a great value.

I was staying in a nearby town. On 8/16 (Saturday), I drove to Mama Mia's for takeout, based on reviews of the food. I ordered a green salad and the dish which was described as lasagna noodles rolled around spinach etc. (I had asked the staff person whether I should get that or pizza - she highly recommended this dish.) When I drove back to my hotel some distance away, I realized that I had been given the wrong dish. There was NO spinach anywhere. It looked like lasgana but in rolls. It was delicious but not what I ordered. I called the restaurannt. The staff (same person who took my order; very kind) was unable to help me , said they'd call me back in a little while, and that they'd leave a note for the owner whom they expected later in the evening. She agreed with my idea of a partial refund on my credit card, but was powerless to actually do that for me, she said. I not get a call back. I left a message on Monday (I think - it was difficult to tell if the message recorded); no call back. So, two things about service:
1. I paid $40 for this meal of salad and pasta. Crazy expensive. They automatically add 20% gratituity to all take out orders- really?! How greedy is that?! Yes, it's printed in very tiny print on the the take out menu, where you'd never see it unless you read very closely - I was looking for it because I'd seen that on a review. That is a sneaky and absurd thing to do for food priced so expensively to start. Greedy.
2. I did not get what I ordered and no one was able/willing to help me get some sort of compensation - like a credit for part of the meal on my credit card.
The food is without a doubt a 5/5. This service, though, is greedy and unacceptable. This is the first google review I have written that is anything but positive. But, I felt I gave the restaurant a chance and they ignored it. I'm sorry this happened.

Good food and atmosphere. Over one hour wait. We think they forgot about us because customers arriving afterwards received their meal first. I feel they should have offered a discount.

Niece picked up a so so pizza to go and was suckered into their 20% tip added to bill.
We are local and will NOT frequent this shameful outfit again!

Read the reviews before choosing this place. The only reason I’m giving them a 1 star is because 0 isn’t an option. Overcooked and incredibly flavorless and dough-y pizzas. The cardboard box it came in had stronger flavor. And there is an automatic 20% gratuity that’s not disclosed in advance. As a business owner, I know cost of doing business is rising. Things are tough, but nickel and diming customers isn’t right either.

We ordered 4 large pizzas for takeaway this evening. They sneaking charged 20% gratuity, without informing us in advance and just charging our credit card.

The pizzas were very bland, no flavour at all. We ordered veggie, all meat mamma Mia , cheese and GF pepperoni. No one enjoyed it all and our total bill with tip and the secret mandatory gratuity came to $144.00! Completely rip off.

Very clean and very nice place but expensive and small portions. They charge a plate split fee so if you have small kids you either buy expensive small portions or split plates and get even smaller portions. My kids were still hungry. Not like you have much of a choice in the area anyway, everything else is a gross bar or crazy expensive.

Atmosphere was great, but for the price, the food was absolutely “okay”. Apple pie was great, but everything else didn’t taste like much, good people, not great food.

I’ve never felt more overlooked in a restaurant. While other tables around us were getting attentive service and their food in a reasonable amount of time, we waited almost an hour just to get our food. Nosense of urgency from the staff whatsoever.

To make it worse, the food wasn’t even worth the wait. It was average at best. The only thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere, but that doesn’t make up for being blatantly ignored while other customers were clearly prioritized.

It was frustrating, disappointing, and frankly, unacceptable. I won’t be back—and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values their time or expects basic customer service.

SHE STOPPED SHORT OF KICKING US OUT.

my 3 yr old pulled on on her plant in the lobby and dropped it. He is 3. She came over with a nasty attitude told us to wait for our table outside. I tried to help clean up. She refused. Then she said loud enough for the whole lobby to hear how her plant was older than my kids.
I can understand her being upset, but youre running a restaurant ma'am. Maybe put your keepsakes and valuables away from the public?
& control your attitude towards your paying customers.

We apologized and opted to leave. I was afraid she was going to spit on our pizzas.
