Got here just about opening time for the first order of the day. This place is awesome! Even in the rain, they have a covered deck area with tables and propane heaters which treated me well and kept me cozy while I sat down to eat. The Cod fish and chips basket is delicious! The homemade tartar is great and the homemade slaw is super tasty with dried cranberries in it.
Highly recommend making a stop to grab some fish and chips while in Nehalem.

Took my dad to the coast for the day and he really wanted fish and chips! No other place was open as it was a cold, wet Sunday afternoon, but Riverside was open! It took less than 10 mins for 3 orders of fish. The fish was fresh, and delicious. The fries were some of the best we've had! The only complaint was that the heaters om the outside seating were out of propane so we just took our food to the car!

Spent the weekend on the Oregon coast. We were very disappointed in the food for the entire weekend with the exception of the food truck area here. I wish we would have found this on the first day. Doughnuts, tacos, soup, and fish&chips were all very good.

Maybe the best fish and chips I’ve had so far on the coast. Have always wanted to stop and try and today I finally did! Got the 3 piece cod w/chips(fries) & slaw. Light crispy breading on nice size pieces of cod with crispy slightly breaded fries and slaw. (Somebody in the cart must be from the South because the slaw had raisins in it! Just like grandma used to make!) Washed it down with a Pilsner and had a great lunch on the river for $24 tip included! Will now make this a regular stop when I’m out this way! 😊

The outside tables are filthy and look as if they have never been wiped clean — it takes a long time to get that dirty. The fries were the saltiest I have ever had (and I adore salt); I choked with the first bite — really! The fish wasn’t bad but it was nothing special. The coleslaw just okay. The food comes out of a food truck and the beer in cans out of their portable fridge. Honestly? I would never come here again and I would tell people who asked that the place next door is much better. We were hoping (based on reviews) that it would be okay. If you’re going to pay the price…go somewhere else, there are many other very good places to eat.
