Atmosphere is not what you come here for but the food is very good. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the steak was moist and perfectly cooked - no bland meat here! Everything is cooked to order, including the tortilla chips , which means there was a bit of a wait to get our food after we ordered but that meant fresh and well made dishes. The salsa is made every morning and was very yummy. The rice and beans were perfect, too. Would absolutely come back!

We had the chicken tacos, beef tacos, vegetable empanadas, rice, beans, and nachos. It was all really good and had a reasonable price.

My husband and I came here today for lunch! We don’t live in the area so we weren’t sure what was good to eat in this little town and happened to stop here! Miguel did not disappoint! The food was soooo good! I got the Cali burrito and my husband got a sope and burrito bowl. The masa for the sope was perfection, the chicken was cooked perfectly and perfectly marinated. Everything we had was great 10/10 recommend! If you ever find yourself in oakridge don’t over look this little spot. Miguel and his daughter are also super sweet and friendly. Thank you guys for a great dining experience! We will definitely be back!🫶🏻

The food is great but it would be nice if a waitress came by and asked if you needed a drink or Togo box or anything.

Great food. Wanted a more extensive menu with Chile rellenos, enchiladas, and Chile Verde, but hey, what they have is delicious and fresh.
Will definitely come back

Went to meet Miguel and his family's restaurant. Ordered the chicken housemade (keyword) tacos, birria mac n cheese, and fire roasted poblano with steak (carne asada). TLDR, the food was excellent. Looking forward to coming back!

Really enjoyed the tacos. The corn tortillas were definitely authentic, with that flavor you expect from fresh masa. The meat, cilantro, onions and a sprinkle of cotija cheese made it really good. Slap on their housemade salsa, guac, sour cream, and/or jalapeños to your liking and you'll be coming back for more.

The birria mac n cheese was cool. Instead of beef, it had pork meat (which I prefer personally) and it was moist and tender, shredding nicely with little effort. The base of the bowl was a mac n cheese, using a larger, thicker noodle. It's cover in a solid layer of pork birria with plenty of the birria broth, then it's covered in some onions, cilantro, guac, and sour cream, garnished with jalapeño slices. Really enjoyed sharing it with my friend.

Last but not least, the fire roasted poblano pepper stuff with cheese and steak (carne asade). I'm generally a big fan of chile relleno, and these go a step further by adding meat to them. Miguel marinates his carne asada before grilling them, and the flavor really comes out. The portion is pretty small, so this would be a good choice as an appetizer to share, or maybe if you're looking for a small dish for yourself.

All in all, I really enjoyed chatting with Miguel and his family. They made me feel like family in the brief moment I shared with them after the meal. I really can taste the love and passion in the food they serve, and they welcome feedback.

Kicking myself for not taking pictures. Wish them the best of luck in the future. Saludos a todos!

Well, was not planning to stop for food, but I sure am glad I did! I only ordered a simple bean and rice and cheese burrito this time. It was really good, very reasonably priced, and pretty big. I got to talking with Miguel, the owner and chef, nice guy, and he gave me some samples of some of his other stuff. Wow! I will definitely be back here. The atmosphere is not what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant, but why complain about the atmosphere when the important point is the food. And the food is spot on.

Chef takes pride in the food he's making - leaving him a five-star review. Great prices. We had veggie bowls and were impressed by the fresh and thoughtful ingredients - real ingredients, not greasy. Yes, the interior is pretty bizarre, and it's next to a weed store. But we had fun with it. We enjoyed our food and it was inexpensive.

Vegetarian options: Veggie bowl was good and inexpensive. Had whole pinto beans, rice, cheese, other veggies, fresh tomatoes, and chips. Bowl is small but well-rounded and surprisingly filling for the price.

I love the food at Miguel's, I could eat their steak fries every single day. I've eaten my share of carne asada fries at some of the more popular Mexican restaurants in the city, and to me the carne asada you find is often a little dry and tough. The carne asada at Miguel's is always very tender, juicy, and flavorful. Plus, the steak fries come with guacamole without an upcharge. You'd be hard-pressed to find that at many locations, from my experiences. They have two different price tiers - a regular size, and a large side for the fries. I love their green salsa, it's not spicy, which suits me, I can do spicy but its not always my thing. The homemade corn tortillas are freshly made and taste wonderful. The prices aren't bad at all and the portions are more than fair for the price. The service is always fast, usually about 15 minutes from the time I place my order over the phone to when it's done. The atmosphere inside to me is very cozy and laid-back. It is a small family-owned business. Miguel and his wife and their mother are always very friendly. I just moved back to this small town after 8 years of living near the city, the food options are definitely limited here, we want to keep good businesses around. I'll keep on supporting Miguel's.
