First time but not the last. The man working there,(who i am assuming is the owner) was super cool and I thought the BBQ was delicious. Would recommend and I will be back.

Great food and wonderful service! For $10 you get a huge portion with chips and a drink and you support a small business! Pass up subway and a & w, hit this spot for some yummy bbq. They even cater to no carb diets!!

Food was delicious! Super affordable too. Got 2 full meals for under $25. Staff was so nice, let us have a sample before buying, let us wait in our car since it was cold and raining and even walked our food out to our car for us. Definitely coming back!

Owner is very rude and unpleassant. He is known to creep on his employees and is a compulsive liar. His BBQ is bought, reheated and resold.

Delicious BBQ! Great place for a quick lunch. Had the Mac sandwich; meat moist and tender. Got Spicey sauce. Loved it. The magic is in the meat. Buns standard as were the chips and potatoe salad. Really nice owner. Pleasant, good service and suggestions. Will stop in again!

This was a nice little BBQ place off the side on HWY 58. No issues with parking. There were some tables and it was outdoors, but no chairs or stools to sit. We had been driving for a while so not a problem to just stand. The gal there was very friendly, smiling, and gave great service. The pricing was actually really good for it being a BBQ joint and the amount of meat you get. We got the Sampler for 2-3 people and it was $33. I would give the food a 4.3/5. It had great smoky flavor, but not overpowering.

Ribs: They were fantastic! They were thick, meaty spareribs. The color, the dry rub used you can taste, and it blended well with the smoky flavor. No BBQ sauce was needed. You could take a bite, and it was firm yet tender. It was not falling apart and mushy. It was like competition style (my preferred method) and not backyard BBQ style where it falls off the bone. They also sell individual bones for $2.

Brisket: I thought it was pretty good and had potential. It had good flavor, but it was cut pretty thin and some pieces were not cut against the grain. I didn't get good pictures of the brisket alone.

Pulled Pork: My least favorite of the 3. It had good flavor and you can see that some good bark was built on it. There were some bark included at it was good. My only issue, was that it was shredded way too thin and in smaller shreds. Shredding it that small definitely makes the pork go farther. It's probably better for packing it on a Pulled Pork Sandwich. It kind of felt like if you were eating rice. It was pretty dry and required some BBQ sauce. In my opinion, you lose a lot of the moisture when you shred it that thin. I usually take the pork butt drippings/juice, put it through a fat separate, and then pour some of that juice back on top to keep it moist and flavorful.

Sides: They're all cold served side. Mac Salad was tasty and wet. Coleslaw was a little dry and flavorless. It might have been made earlier and didn't have enough time to soak the juices. Baked beans were good as well. However, those portions are pretty small. It's like maybe a Chipotle size spoonful of the sides that you split amongst 3.

Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. We were more than satisfied with everything. We will be stopping by next time we are in the area. Might have to drive down there just for the ribs!

Good family run bbq shack ? Did not see justification for hit & miss 'reviews'. Ignore the fake bad ones w no photos ? this is a good spot , friendly hardworking folks , sandwich had plenty of meat on it and was fresh & tasty. If you leave these guys a bad review for some dumb petty complaint , you can go back to whatever dumpster in California you came from . I liked the old goat combo , and I"d be back again anytime ?

This place is literally a shack on the side of the road. This is take out only but the A&W and Subway next door had seating outside that we were able to use. The smoked bbq pork and brisket were so tasty. We ordered the ‘Old Goat’ which mixed the pork and brisket together and served on a hoggie bun. it was enough for two people or one really hungry person. The bbq sauce choices were spicy, mild or combo of spicy and mild. The meat did not even need the sauce since it was so tender and delicious by itself. We also ordered a side of coleslaw, which was fresh with not much mayonnaise. Also, you are able to get the meat on a bed of coleslaw instead of the bun. The Smoken BBQ was an authentic and great find in the town of Oak Ridge Oregon. At first, I gave atmosphere only 2 stars and my husband pointed out that this place is surrounded by the beautiful pine trees of the great Northwest so I upped my stars.

Best meat I’ve ever had

Food wasn’t great. Meat was shredded to hell and didn’t look appetizing. Very little brisket in the pulled pork/brisket sandwich. Sandwich bread was thin, not toasted and was soggy by the time I made it home. All the sides are mayo based salads basically besides beans. So not many options. Staff was great, but yea won’t be coming back.

Not too impressed. Got pulled pork sandwich and one with just meat on coleslaw. Meat was tasteless, only about 1 tablespoon of bbq sauce.
Should have had a burger next door.
