McGrew's Restaurant and Lounge

I can’t say enough about this family owned restaurant. The food is phenomenal with hefty portions great for leftovers! Whether you’re in the bar or restaurant the environment and staff really cater to any reason for being there, cozy romantic dinner, family gatherings (very kid friendly), casual dining, celebrations, birthday party’s, quick to goes. They also always bring the best music to create a fun place for a small town. All of their food is truly hand made and meats hand cut! But very much known for the incredible handmade soups and salad dressings. Everytime I go I love how deliciously full I feel and how comfortable and accommodated all the staff make my visit. Thank you McGrews’s for being the best for many many years!

Very good place... got great big portions, entree (meat and veggie), potato side, salad and soup with bread. Service was attentive and food was plentiful and delicious. I got the steak skewer and my wife got the chicken skewer. We both had plenty leftovers for a nice lunch the next day.

Make it a stop if you are traveling through like we were, or if you are visiting the caves or many camping areas.

Stopped in while staying down the road. On a road trip, not from the area. We took the food to go but sat at the bar for a drink while we waited. Everyone was very friendly! The food was delicious. We got a cheeseburger, onion rings, and a steak sandwich. The steak was so tender. Highly recommend.

Steak was tough and cold. Couldn't chew it so ended up throwing 80% of it away. Choked down a few bites.
Fish and chips was cold.
This food isn't cheap to start with.
Go someplace else.

The absolute best steak house dinner I think I've ever had. I literally cut my steak with my fork. I ordered the bacon wrapped filet with cheesy au gratin potatoes. My boyfriend had the rib eye with cheesy au gratin potatoes. We had clam chowder (mind you I don't normally like clam chowder and this was delicious) and salad to start. Shout out to John, the chef, for making a meal that melted in our mouths. Great ambiance, excellent service. If you are in O'Brien, make sure you go to McGrew's! It's the best!

Best food around O'Brian. No tofu here, just good old fashioned meat and potatoes kinda place. Damm good onion rings too.

Parking: There is a post to tie up your donkeys out back.

We had a wonderful dinner and drinks last Friday night at McGrews. I'll have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our meal. We shared a half rack of ribs which was served with an appetizer plate, soup, salad and a choice of potato so there was plenty to fill us up with leftovers to boot! Luckily for us birthdays were being celebrated, so for desert we were gifted the most amazing chocolate-peanutbutter cupcakes you could imagine!After our meal we enjoyed playing pool and dancing to the DJs selections with the friendly local folks. We loved the atmosphere and the friendliness and excellent service from the staff made us feel very welcome. If you haven't tried McGrews yet you need to stop by for a great meal or just to wet your whistle! You pass right by on the way to or from the coast...
