The place is old and dated but it gives the place a nice old diner feel. The waitress was exceptionally kind and very sweet. She was quick and attentive. The food was amazing! Came in huge portions and was definitely 2 meals worth if you don't eat a lot. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was almost a foot long and 3/4 inch thick.

Took 2 tables orders who came in after us (10mins or so) and our food was left in the window for 25mins. When our food came out there was still some missing. Why leave it in the window for 45mins for the whole order to be filled when you're not gonna bring it all at once anyways? Rude server no have a good day not one refill. I will never waste a dime here again and neither will my friends that came with me.

I was a big fan of the Garage in Notus, Hog Rock Cafe is now my go to place! Waitress with the long braid is great.
Stopped in for a bite to eat as we were heading back to Vancouver, Washington. We were politely greeted and told to sit at any open table. I got the chicken fried steak, it was huge and came with a big pile of hash browns and slathered in a delicious gravy. The rest of the family loved what they ordered as well. We will eat here again.

We stopped in while on a road trip hoping to get a good diner burger. We walked, not greeted upon entrance, and sat down ( we were unsure if we were supposed to seat ourselves because we were not acknowledged). We waited for almost 15 minutes and still did not get an acknowledgement (be right with you) or any interaction with the staff. Meanwhile a few of the locals were getting drink refills, paying, and the phone was being answered. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. I guess if you are a local you will get service, otherwise, keep going.

If you want a good place to eat this is the place to go it's small but the food is good and plenty of it you cannot leave there hungry The Waitresses are always friendly and the Cooks also I really recommend this as a place to eat

The waitress seemed so friendly when I first entered. The menu looked great, and I was excited about my food. It took a long time to get a cup of coffee, and even longer to order my meal. I saw my food sitting in the window for a good 10 minutes while she flitted around chatting with her regulars. She walked right past my food one time to ask another table how their meal was, and chatted a bit. I had biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. By the time she brought my food, the gravy lost that fresh look. Country gravy can't just sit under hot lights for long. She dropped off my food and never came back. Even though I had an empty coffee cup sitting there when she brought the food. I ate about a third of it. It was warm, not hot, and went to the cash register. I knew it would be a long wait for my ticket. The restaurant is truly a diamond in the rough, but with service like that, I sure hope you have plenty of regulars because you won't get repeat business from the rest of us. BTW, I have worked/run restaurants for over 20 years. So, I do know a couple of things.
Found (Google search) Hog Rock Cafe while driving down Interstate. Family wanted something different than typical fast food. We scored big time!
Highly recommend. Good tasting, cooked to order, and huge portions. Great prices as well.

Do Not recommend! No one wanted to help us. Finally they Sat us down at a dirty table. The seats are terribly uncomfortable. We waited a good 10minutes at least with no help no I will be right with you….. They were all hiding in the back. They were Not very busy. . So we left and went to the Ontario Plaza Inn and sure glad we did. Good food and service
