My pizza and salad bar buffet experience was positive. The pizzas were fresh and hot. Once the pizzas were placed under the heating element, they sat less than five minutes before being devoured.
My school-trained chef wife said that the taco pizza served here is her gold standard used to judge all other taco pizzas tried throughout the rest of America.
The salad bar was stocked with the usual salad bar items. Each food bucket used for different items was clean and adequately full.
The atmosphere is and remains a Pendleton family classic.
My disappointment was that the tables were seldomly cleaned or bused.
This pizza place is a value for the money spent; gladly, I would eat there in the future and recommend it for somebody looking for a family-friendly pizza joint with tasty hot pizzas for a fair dollar cost.

Big John Pizza is a true hometown gem! The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back—exactly what you want from a local pizza joint. The hand-tossed crust is top-notch, and the pizza is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Taco Pizza and the Hometown Hero—both are packed with flavor.
They’ve got cold beer to go with your meal, though I do wish they had a bigger selection. Still, that’s a small thing compared to how great the food and vibe are. This place has officially become my go-to stop when I’m passing through or staying in town for hunting season.

Food has a great taste but the place itself is old and it's a serve yourself with no servers. It wasn't loud when I was there but three places had maybe a dozen people.

It's not the best pizza I've ever had but it was pretty damn good! Little pricey but delicious. Unique flavor, good dough, good amount of toppings and cheese, and the garlic herb seasoning they put on the crust was a nice touch. All in all, great job.
Kid-friendliness: They have arcade games and a large seating section right next to the games.
