This is the burger joint you think back on the next day and say “damn, that was a good burger.” Hal’s is my one stop on my Seattle to Boise run and it’s worth every calorie. Plus I adore their dog-loving employees and I always buy a ‘pup patty’ for my dogs. Highlight! Don’t miss the tater-tots and their ranch dressing is the best I’ve ever had. Not kidding.

I love coming to Hal's HB, been coming here since the 1970's. Was so awesome to see Hal's still going strong in 2025 on my visit to Pendleton. I didn't take a picture of Hal's because I was driving back to Boise. But I did get a nice video of main street and random people. Notice the video starts at where the old Cinderella slipper shop was, way way back. 😅 🤠🥰

Food is reliable burger stand fare, shakes are big & awesome. Historic drive through stand, with tiny seating area; additional outdoor and indoor seating and also available. Try the world famous Bacon Cheezinee!
