The Saddle Restaurant And Lounge

This restaurant is the biggest reason why I will never ever stop in Pendleton Oregon again, absolutely the worst food I have eaten in a very long time. Our meal came out in 2 minutes, and I know it takes more than 2 minutes to cook a burger and fries . Stay away , terrible food.

We came here for breakfast......Bunch of tables of older men.....We waited almost fifteen minutes......No one came to take our order......So we got up and walked out.....Don't come here if you're in any kind of a hurry or on a time frame. 3 waitresses and no service. Waitress could not even tell us how much a cup of coffee costs.

Something has changed here at the saddle restaurant. Been coming here one or two times a week for years now. But now I’m not sure what is the issue with the food. It’s slowly been getting worse and worse. The portions are smaller and smaller. It’s as if they trying to save money. The quality of their products has gone down hill also. It makes me so sad because I loved coming here. Sorry guys I just can’t come here anymore. I hope you guys can get back on track again😞

Order the Lunch Special that was Beef Stroganoff and a salad. The cook needs to research what Stroganoff is. What I got was over cooked noodles with a little bit of ground hamburger that was only a cup. It had no flavor, strips of beef and mushrooms. It was like they took a box of Hamburger Helper. We always loved eating here and it is not the same. Husband got country fried steak and it use to be good size but they shrunk it down to less then half the original size and it had nasty gravy that had no taste and looked like it came out of a can.

This is a nice, quiet place. The food was really good. I got the Denver Omelette. It was thick and all the good stuff inside. I also ordered a side of French toast. Those were also very delicious.
The service was phenomenal. Almost every waiter/waitress that walked by ensure we had full waters and coffee.

Portions are large about the only good thing if you're looking to take home left overs but can't gaurnantee they'll be good. They'll probably taste cheap. Staff is usually rude and may even forget about ya. Most people in this town are hired as restaurant staff and servers without the knowledge and skill and are just so MISERABLE! The building itself is so old and dirty I can't imagine what kind of critters they have in the kitchen. deserperately needs a deep clean

Pancakes were horrible! Hash browns were great! They need additional help! Our server was very kind and friendly!

I had the soup of the day navy bean and ham with warm foccacia bread. It was a very hearty and delicious soup. My husband had the Hawaiian burger with fries. He said it was the best Hawaiian burger he has had. The burger patty was large and very flavorful. The fries were also very crispy ans tasty.

Will definitely stop there again when in Pendleton.

Sat as soon as we walked in. Greeted by the host within 60 seconds. Server came within 2 mins. Service was efficient, not too talkative, but thats okay.
We both got the 1/2 B&G with hash browns and sausage gravy. I added 1 egg OH came under cooked but was able to eat it mixed with my entrée. His was good but they did over zap the biscuits, couple harder ends. Still great breakfast.
Highly recommended for newcomers, townie, and everyone in between
