Great place to watch a sunset paired with lovely wines. Tasting itself is fairly priced at $2 per pour for their basic wines and $3 for the reserve selection. Im knocking them a star however since at the time of our visit the only food pairings were the mini prepackaged meat and cheese trays identical to what you find at Safeway or Costco. Cardwell is not the winery youre looking for if you want to make a meal out of your visit. Another knock is they had woefully limited seating outside despite wonderful weather and easily could have spinkled several more tables around the premises for guests to distribute. Other wineries offer more extensive food menus but Cardwell is nonetheless very worth a stop if youre in the region. We did very much enjoy the wine and view.

Beautiful vineyard and tasting area, excellent Pinot Noir (and lots of other selections, too), and very friendly service. Come check it out!

Excellent Pinot! We bought a couple of bottles. Enjoyed our tasting and afterwords be brought our snackies to the outdoor tables surrounded by lavender and enjoyed a wonderful evening with a view of the vines and wild turkeys gleaning in the fields.

We love Cardwell Hill Cellars and their wines are excellent! We live in Waldport and are happy to be wine club members.

5 star for wine, location, staff culture.

Beautiful Vineyards to relax and have a glass of great wine. Only had positive interactions with the staff including how they interacted with my toddler when I went in over multiple years. We moved recently, but they ship and have been very responsive in communication. Good people to talk with. Good hiking trails just down the road for all hikers, including beginners. Overall, we love this place and will be members for a long time.

A magical Saturday afternoon spent under the veranda enjoying table grapes and fantastic wine. Would love to come back the next time I’m in Corvallis!

This winery produces our absolute favorite Pinot Noir! The owners are incredibly friendly, and they welcome dogs too.

We have been coming to this winery for years and it is our favorite in Oregon. Lovely selection of Pinot noir that are both excellent and good value compared to others in the region. It has a pretty outdoor seating area that is dog-friendly.

Pro tip: You can hike to this winery, about 4 miles through a beautiful Willamette Valley oak forest by parking at the Cardwell Hill trailhead on the Corvallis side. Not only do you skip the 15-mile drive, but after the 4 mile return, you have worked off the wine.

What a gem! Spur of the moment decision led to one of our favorites of the trip and definitely favorite of that day. Had the gorgeous patio to ourselves. Scott was a wonderful host inside. Wines were great. Couldn't ask for more.
