Came across this bakery by chance, and it was one of my favorite parts of visiting OR. This is the most unique bakery I’ve ever been to, and chatting with Bill was an absolute pleasure. Not only did we buy some delicious vegan cinnamon rolls, we walked away with some prints of Bill’s art, which is displayed all over the shop. A total hidden gem :)
This is an amazing local sourdough baker that only does business on Sunday. He makes an average of 4-5 different types based on what is available locally and never uses egg or oil. The loaves are perfectly crusty on the outside and moist and fluffy inside, with only a hint of sour compared to the commercial stuff. Just happened to be staying nearby on a Sunday and stopped by the bakery. Bought a loaf of the garlic bread, took it home for dinner, and tore off crispy, delicious chunks to dip in tomato soup. Best bread I've had in a long time. The crust is amazing.
