We heard about the Woodsman and the quality of the Thai food and finally got a chance to try it for ourselves this last weekend. As my Gram used to say, "My Lands!" That was some good eatin'! I actually commented that I wanted to swim in the yellow curry sauce and slurp it up with a straw it was so good. If you like Thai food don't hesitate to stop in. And come hungry!

Some of the best Thai food I've had. Love it, worth the trip.

I really want to like their food! Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined over the years. It used to be excellent. Green curry was way oversalted, and drunken noodles were bland and lacking flavor. It’s really important to support local businesses, but unfortunately, unless the quality improves to how I remember it a few years ago, it’s unlikely I’ll eat there again.

Awful service, the only server (a middle-aged white man) was EXTREMELY RUDE to us! He refused to check which dishes were vegan-friendly, claimed to have no way of communicating with the kitchen staff, and said “order at your own risk”while rolling his eyes. The whole time he was in a huff and acted like our dietary restriction was an inconvenience to him.To top it all off, the yellow curry was the worst I’ve ever had! Almost inedible! This awful “restaurant” deserves to go out of business, and good riddance. It’s obviously a gambling joint first and foremost, as we were the only patrons there to eat thai food.Dietary restrictions: *NOT* vegan friendly

One of our favorite local places. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Atmosphere probably needs some work. We generally do takeout for when we are hosting and it works great! Make sure to try the Hoh mok Salmon!!!

Unfortunately, my experience was not good. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Pad Thai, Potstickers, and Mango Fried Rice. The texture of all the above was off, and the taste was lacking.Service staff was friendly, and atmosphere was ok.

I give this a two overall due to the fact we didn't stick around for the entrée and because our waitress was very sweet. The place is woefully dark outside with nearly no lighting to identify it at night.Inside it was a jarring mishmash of 80% southwestern decoration with 20% traditional Thai imagery which isn't a bad thing, however it seemed like it was trying to do both too much and ended up doing neither. The place smelled clean, albeit clean like disinfectant and didn't have a smell like you'd expect a half Thai restaurant to have.It is also important to note that the website prices are off by about +2 USD, give or take. At the front of the restaurant is a laminated sign citing increased cost for supplies and wages (among other things) as the culprit of the price increase.I ordered the jalapeno poppers to start and about 15 minutes later they arrived. Taking a bite, I found they were frozen in the center and looking closer at them I found they bore a shocking resemblance to the jalapeno poppers you can buy from the frozen section of WinCo for 2.50 USD a box. These poppers were 10 USD.For the entrée I ordered a burger for 15.00+ USD and requested the patty cooked medium rare. I was told by our lovely waitress that the patties are all frozen and they don't cook them to order, just until they're fully done. When I told my waitress about the poppers, she was very apologetic and took them at once, saying they'd bring me a fresh plate. After mulling it over, we decided to pass on the entrée and leave. I told my waitress who understood my decision and wished my partner and I a good night. In summary, this place has heart and has decent bones, but it desperately needs some upgrades to remain relevant and acceptable with growing standards. The entire exterior needs to be re-done as, in my personal opinion, it's very rough. The interior would do well with a professional consultation and, at least the appetizers and kitchen need to be more strictly managed and curated. At this time, I cannot recommend visiting Woodsman Dining. I may have missed out on the entree's but I had a total lack of confidence once I got the appetizer and I don't walk out of a restaurant after ordering very often. Truth be told, this is the very first time I have ever done so.Small businesses are important to the culture of our towns and cities and while it's important to support them, it's equally important to maintain a baseline acceptability where quality and atmosphere are concerned. This review is based entirely upon my honest experience in the short time I was in Woodsman Dining.

A diamond in the rough! I did not expect this place to be a restaurant just passing through Philomath. After some research I am glad I stopped in! We got the sampler platter and the Pad Thai! Both were excellent, plenty of food for two people!

Authentic Thai food that took us right back to our travels in Thailand. Great, attentive service. We appreciated that when we told them one of us had a shellfish allergy, they switched the order around. Servings are huge and prices are fair considering the excellent quality of food that you will be getting. We will be back for sure!

It wasn't bad good at all. It wasn't greasy which is fantastic. Moderately priced and they used good vegetables. Which makes sense as there are lots of farms in that area. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars us the staff wasn't the friendliest. I place a lot of value on how I'm treated. The food was good though and they had a decent variety.Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of gluten free options :)
