Really nice atmosphere! Very knowledgeable waiter! The food was delicious! I would definitely recommend the Shoreline Bistro!
FIVE STARS
I don’t enjoy seafood so I ended up buying the bacon cheeseburger was very good the bacon was cooked perfectly the burger was a bit dry. There was not any kid friendly restaurants in the area so it was a last resort but I was so excited when I got there!!!! Everybody was so kind we came in 30 minutes before closing and they welcomed us and we left around 8:30 there was another person who came in after it closed and they still got warm food to go ?. The homemade root beer was good but I’m not a fan of root beer in general but it was interesting when I found out that they actually freeze there mugs I did not see that coming sadly thought it did not keep the root beer cold . The wait was longer than expected but you could smell the food wafting through the air and the sizzle of the Pattie cooking. Chicken tenders and fries were really good! ? Overall a great place!!
Parking: There was motel parking for the guests of the motel who were eating there and there was also parking on the side of the street. Ended up parking behind a building to the right of it.
Kid-friendliness: There was not any kid friendly restaurants in the area just bars so this place was perfect for the fam.

We stopped here for some food on our way up the coast and had a very enjoyable experience! The staff were really lovely and friendly and the clam chowder was some of the best I've ever had – go for the bread bowl!

It sucks writing this review as the owner seems like a decent person trying to run a small business but I'm flabbergasted this place is rated so high.
To be fair, maybe it was an off night as we were told it's normally run by the wife, while we were served by the husband. Visited back in ~April.
We ordered a burger and the fish and chips. Burger was small, dry and fries were undercooked. Fish and chips were tiny - three end pieces of ling cod, all tail ends. We were told it was local - no reason to doubt but they were mostly flavourless.
Frankly, their menu is too large for their skill/staffing level. It reminds me of the common Kitchen Nightmares (UK) trope where an owner who has never run a restaurant before, wants to do it out of passion and wants to 'please everybody' with the 'standard pub/vacation town' menu. None of the food was spoilt so not quite warranting that level of comparison, but I honestly don't know how they would generally survive as a restaurant sustainably, even though I wish them the best. He did mention this was a fairly new endeavour by his wife.
I'll also say that I don't think it's fair to bias reviews/expectations that maybe it's just highly rated for a small town: on the same trip, in a random spot in the middle of nowhere, Utah, with probably less than a thousand residents (aka Torrey), we were served a spectacular burger out of a food truck.
Nice location though.

My husband and I had a delightful lunch today. I ordered fish and chips with fresh caught Ling cod, and I mean, fresh! And the best fries I've had anywhere in along time! Hubby ordered a fresh albacore tuna melt that was absolutely delicious! We also shared a homemade root beer which was a special treat! We've brought home some smoked steelhead and smoked halibut chowder for dinner and I bet ya it's going to be great!
One last mention. It's really cute inside and offers great views on the water! So go!

This place is family-run and locally sourced. They even have a commercial boat that catches their halibut and albacore tuna for the menu. Definitely coming back here next time we're in town.

I think this place gets a good overall rating due to low expectations. Nothing was fresh, everything was very deep fried. We had the previously frozen fish sandwich and the pork sandwich which was definitely warmed from a package. Good views at least and nice enough staff.

Decided not to dine in, but there's plenty of seating. The clam chowder rivals any in the area, you won't be disappointed. Please try this restaurant, you'll be pleased for sure.

Husband and I stopped by on our way to Redwoods National Park. We were craving clam chowder and omg!!! The best chowder I’ve ever had, delicious, tastes so fresh and the way they prepare the sourdough bowl was toasted.
(It’s better than San Francisco and Monterey Bay) I got the New England style and hubby opted for steelhead chowder.

Such a cute, authentic place! The house made root beer was a 10/10! Staff was super friendly and informative- they even gave us advice on local sights to see and gave us information about the town. Great experience overall

I never write reviews, but this was too good not to. Restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but the food was incredible. There were 4 chowders on the menu and we tried 2 - the shrimp and corn and the smoked halibut. Both were excellent. We’re only in the area for 2 days, but we’re already planning our return tomorrow.
Don’t miss it!

Food and service were awesome you can really tell the pride they take in their food from the local baked bread and range of chowders to the house made root beer.

We came in with a group of 12 and they were happy to accommodate. Owners were friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Great food and fast service, especially for 12 people. We ordered a variety, chowders, seafood platters, burgers, ribs and chicken. All of it was delicious. Definitely recommend this place.
