Reading these reviews, I don't know how our experience ended up being so bad. I normally don't leave bad reviews, but I think this one warrants it. We arrived in Prineville after an 8 hour trip. We were starving, exhausted, and thought this looked like a great place to eat. The exterior looks appealing boasting seafood, pasta and steaks. All of which sounded great. We were seated by a nice waitress and we ordered 2 iced teas. That's where things started. My husband didn't notice a funky taste in his tea because he puts sweetener in his, I don't. After a few drinks I asked him to taste and he agreed it didn't taste right. I asked for a Pepsi instead. He ordered a French dip sandwich and a dinner salad, I ordered the prime rib stroganoff. Food arrived in a timely manner. My first bite of the noodles in the stroganoff tasted a little strange, so I tried the meat, and after about 2-3 bites I realized it wasn't getting better but tasting worse. I don't know how to explain the taste other than maybe musty, stale, and sharp. My husband finished his salad and started on the French dip and he said his sandwich kinda tasted weird (with au jus) and the second bite without au jus. He spit it out and said he was done. I took a bite to see if it was as bad as he was saying and if his food tasted the way mine did. It was just as bad, if not, worse. We cut our losses and asked for a bill. Tired, we weren't interested in debating the quality of the meal or a refund. The waitress asked if we wanted boxes because our food was nearly untouched and my husband said no. The waitress asked if something was wrong, and we told her it was terrible and we just wanted to pay our bill ($52) and leave. She asked what we meant by the food being terrible, and we told her we felt the prime rib used in both the stroganoff and French dip had spoiled. The taste was bizarre, hard describe, but if I had to find the words, pungent and musty would be it. There was no offer to rectify the issue, so we paid and left. Honestly disappointed and I have no idea how anyone else has come here, ordered what we did, and not complained. Everything outside of the dinner salad and Pepsi was unpalatable. We ended up going to Chevron to grab a couple Lunchables so we could eat and go to bed. We will not be visiting again.

This place and my opinion has the best barbecue. I've ever eaten my buddy, and I drove down from Portland to the reservoir, and we stopped there. At the cross road and that barbecue, it's the best period

There were four of us dining there on a Friday night. I was impressed with the the many items on the menu. I was not that hungry so I had the seizure salad. It was real good. I would definitely come back here again.

All we tasted was bbq sauce. So much covered everything. Got 2 3 item combos chicken. Was a bit dry, 2 beef ribs were 1.5 really with as little meat was in the 2nd. And the brisket was a bit tough. Pulled pork and pork ribs were not bad. Service was ok. Brought out side salad no silverware untill main course came.

The tri-trip and the prime rib was very tough, even ordering it as medium rare and it was not seasoned. The waitress did not come back to our table to check on our drinks for refills. The main waitress, that took our order, didn't know what the vegetables were as a side option. The bacon on the burger was very fatty and was not crispy at all. I did like garlic mashed potatoes, it was the best part of the meal.
