Best tamales and watermelon margarita I’ve ever had. I’ve been eating here since the 90s and always loved the food. But I’d you want top notch, try my recommendations.

This is a great little restaurant in Prineville period if you're looking for a good Mexican restaurant then you can't go wrong here. The food was fresh and not pre-cooked. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and it was extremely hot so I knew that it came out freshly cooked. I hate going to some Mexican restaurants that you get your order placed it's on the table within 5 minutes. But this restaurant is not one of those. Lastly the prices are great. It's obvious that this is a local favorite.

Unfortunately, poor quality food. 😢 the beans and salsa served with chips both needed to be salted. The chips on our nachos were already soft, soggy when they were served, and the taco salad was a complete letdown. We will not be eating there again. I had one cocktail with a single shot of tequila in it, and it cost $15. Ridiculous.

Taco salad with chicken could have benefited from more spice. Chicken I think was meant to go in to an enchilada or something that had added spice. In the salad there was only the lettuce so was somewhat bland. Salsa helped.

Food has went downhill. Service was lame. People who work there catered to the Hispanic people over us. (Its true) waited 20 minutes just for drinks and waitress only came by 1 time. Not offered refills with our drinks. Salsa had no flavor and refried bean dip was bland.

It’s stupid to be closed on sun, especially on Mother’s Day, alls they did was lose money, I don’t trust restaurants being closed on sun, that’s when you make money!

I've had the pork carnitas twice now, and they have been tender and delicious each time.

I don't feel like they watch the front very carefully because we waited several minutes to be welcomed/ seated each time. I would understand if there was a line or if they were busy, but both times, there were only a few active tables.

I'm also a snacker, and it's disappointing that they charge for extra chip baskets, especially when the basket is very tiny and they provide salsa and bean dip (both very tasty!).

Paid $26 for the molcajete ranchero. Got the molcajete. No quesadilla and no guacamole salad. $4 difference. The molcajete is served in a metal bowl that is placed in a cold molcajete bowl. This defeats the purpose of the bowl. The 2 of us had our entrees served on 5 different plates that came out 1 at a time with a 4-5 minute gap between each delivery which made food cold by the time we had everything to put our food together. Very disappointed in this place. Fabiola, you really let me down.
