One Street Down Café is a place that my mom took me to many years ago when she was enticing me to move my family up here from So Cal. It is a house that has been transformed into a quaint, cozy restaurant that feels like a family-owned home cooking spot. Actually, I am sure that it is. Serving breakfast and lunch, they have more than 20 tables inside, and seating outside, around the perimeter.

Service is always super friendly, the kitchen is fast and the portions are big. They have house baked goods such as scones and cinnamon rolls, and they utilize some local products such as Big Ed's bread.

I visited one of 2 unisex bathrooms, which was clean and smelled good. Some menu items change daily, such as their Benedict and soup du jour. Today my wife got the spinach Benedict, and I had the turkey melt special, with a side of tomato soup.

Delicious!

We’ve been here 3 or 4 times now. We love the gravy on the biscuits and chicken fried steak breakfast menu sorry no photos I ate it all. The gravy is homemade, it’s NOT From a can.
