Porter Brewing Co. Is a brewery geared towards cask beers. I get along okay with cask beers alright and have learned that these kinds of beers aren't carbonated like you usually get at many breweries. Well after coming to this brewery my fondness for cask beers went up considerably. I had REG the Great and I just fell in love with it instantly. It had such wonderful complexity and flavors that I was simply left in awe. This was a bitter that had tea features and after taking a few sips had a hint of tobacco flavor in it too.Not sure if that's really what it was but it made the beer all the more wonderful. I definitely highly recommend this brewery if you are in the Redmond or Bend area and looking for something more unusual and creative with beer recipes.

Appears all their beer is brewed on premises, and they are poured out of casks, which together contributes to very fresh and smooth beer. Emphasis seems to be English and Irish style beers which I really enjoy - refined. The vibe is warm and comfortable. Perfectly fine to come in by yourself. They had an Irish band playing, every Thursday is band night. Not even done here and I'm looking forward to coming back. And they have some snack foods. Stumbled on my new go to brewery.

Fantastic surprise. Not pretentious. The quality and atmosphere speak for themselves.

I was visiting friends in the area, and I desperately needed a beer, and I saw this place was nearby. They had a great selection, nice outdoor seating, games. A very chill vibe! The owners were very sweet and knowledgeable. I'd definitely come back again!

So good. The brewer really knows what hes doing. All the beers are cask. All air no CO 2 This guy deserves an award for his low carbon footprint. Floor malted barley.

Friendly staff, great ambiance, tasty beer! I'm not always one for cask ales, but it was great to get a chance to try so many at once! My favorites were the dunkel, the IPA, and the ESB.

It's about time central Oregon has a place making beers exactly like these!!! Tired of the same old flavor profiles of IPA after IPA? Try this place. And not because they're different, it's because it's very good beer and what is consider my favorite in Redmond/Bend!

A coworker recommended the Cellar in Bend on Oregon Ave as my Irish family came to visit and I wanted a taste of home. This place is super cool, walk down the stairs to enter a real authentic pub. Cask Redmond Irish Red was fantastic, the real winner here was the menu. We had three trays of sausage rolls, Mac and cheese pie, chicken curry pie and Scottish meat pie. If you want authenticity, this place is it. My Irish dad is super picky about his food, and he LOVED it. To find real mushy peas and good curry chicken and meat pie is rare in the states. We will visit the one in Redmond soon, but the cellar is going to be a new favorite! So glad we found a taste of home here! Thanks for the friendly service!

Truly a unique beer profile. One of the best beer experiences you can have. The owner is an amazing brewer, the care and detail delivered into each beer is outstanding. Smooth and satisfying. Not heavy and overly bubbly like most breweries and beers. This English style beer is definitely set apart from any other style of beer. Enjoy a variety of styles based of this English profile. Each individual taste is unique and delicious with individual characteristics. But I warn you, be prepared to feel the beer more than usual, if it’s the generous pour to each glass of beer or the smoothness to which it goes down, I can’t honestly place the exact mark of it but it will catch you off guard if you’re not ready for it. 10 out of 10! Highly recommended.
