After a long morning hike, we stopped into to Chaba around 2pm for lunch. Located in downtown Rogue River, this adorable eatery featured an out door patio as well as inside seating. We ordered fresh rolls, calamari, Thai fried rice, Pahd cashew, pahd Krakow. Everything was super tasty and we all left stuffed.Kid-friendliness: My nine year old daughter ordered the Thai chicken fried rice and loved it. The portion was generous enough to share with the table.

The Thai fried rice with chicken was excellent; a generous serving in a large bowl. The rice was cooked with a subtle sauce that was much different from that used by Chinese cooks and was as good or better. The chicken was tender and delicious. The Thai ice coffee was super; last times I had it, the drink was coffee, condensed milk and ice; here half & half milk was used that improved the flavor. (Oat milk is an option.) Service was basic and efficient: help yourself to water, order and pay at the. counter. Basic wood tables and chairs on the original hardwood floor counters and a huge blackboard menu are the ambiance. Table and chairs are also outside for when you bring such pests as dogs and small energetic children or just want to eat in the sunshine.

Really good food! We got the Shrimo Pad Thai, cucumber, salad, spring rolls, veggie rolls and an Iced Coffee. My niece and I visited one afternoon and had the place to ourselves. It's really cute inside and has a nice outside patio.

Pla Goong - Spicy grilled shrimp salad $16. Really? It's like three little lettuce leaves and four small- medium shrimp. My expectations were love as far as a good amount of lettuce, but come on. Three partial leave are no more than a garnish. Flavor was fine but poor value and not described well. Shrimp was not grilled either. Please Do Better!
