A nice winery tucked away in the umqua valley. They are know for their red wines. Nice atmosphere with knowledgeable staff about the wines and the land they are growing on.
Visited as part of the Umpqua Wine harvest tour. I wish I had been able to enjoy this winery a little bit better. It was quite busy this day and unfortunately only sampled one wine.
Beautiful afternoon on the patio today at Abacela. Great wine & snacks and excellent service! I enjoyed the Lookingglass Brewery blonde ale, too.
One of the finest vineyards of many fine vineyards in the great state of Oregon. A must-visit destination for an outstanding Tempranillo!
I had a great time , ? cheese plate is
Highly recommended
Wife and I traveled to Oregon for our 5 year anniversary. We heard the winery scene is fantastic in this area and Abacela did not disappoint. We we served by Amy, she was friendly and informative. She also suggested other wineries to try while we were here. Wine was very good, I’m not a big wine person but really enjoyed the Signature flight. My wife wished she had more room in her luggage to take home a few bags.
My niece and I did the ATV tour. I can't recommend it enough. It was such a unique experience. The owner, Greg, is so smart and shared the history of Abecela, of course information about wine making, the business aspects...everything! How wonderful to have wine tasting right in the vineyard...all aboard an ATV. The charcuterie platter was outstanding. Wines were all very good!!! Just do it! Ty Greg for the tour!!!
We have been wanting to try the Roseburg wine region for some time now, and finally got a chance to stop in while on the way to the coast. This winery has a stunning facility with gorgeous views! The staff was friendly, though they struggled with a couple of my questions about their wines.
The wines themselves are ok for the most part, with the Tempernillo being their best by far. The wine making philosophy seems centered on re-creating the climate of Spain wine growing regions, which is an interesting approach. I would love to try thier wines 10 years down the road when they have had a chance to refine their winemaking. Definitely worth a visit!
We had a great time tasting many of their options and even enjoyed a 2009 Paramour which was divine (definitely have some if your budget allows ?)
A lovely place with excellent wine, our favorites were the tempranillo and their ports. Their cheese board is very good too.

Great views from the elegant tasting room of the hillside vineyards. Top notch wide selection of fine wine, my favorite being the Syrah Reserve.
