Heavy racist undertones one of the most obvious i have had the displeasure of experiencing but expected for a town such as roseberg.Waited at the door for roughly 15 minutes while being ignored by staffThen watched them immediately attend to a white couple that had just walked in.Needless to say I interjected and pointed out how i was there first.Got my stamps and against my better judgement a drink (hope they didnt spit in it while i left for the restroom)Then leftNot the most racist bar experience ive had but certainly one of the more obvious ones.The scavenger hunt photo is in the room to the left of the rearside doors its the photo on the right of the door.Just out of spite for having to deal with this after a 3hour drive from portland

I gave them two stars, because there’s no place in business for politics. When you own a business and you state your political opinion on your building or in your business, you divide people don’t we have enough division in this country and world already. You never wanted to divide people in business you want to bring people together to create happy and enjoyable atmosphere for your customers and employees

Once again, the food service, the table service, and I would very much like to stress the table service, is just horrible. Wink wink. Want to get a seat? Good luck being sat down in a timely manner. When you finally get your table, you will be treated by most likely the most unpleasant waitress you will ever come across. They will act as though you are absolutely in their way, while they are doing their job to serve your table. Anybody that writes anything else for this restaurants, service or food quality must be associated in someway. Unfortunately, it is not been a pleasure to dine here now a few times. I will not be making this mistake anymore. Good luck to you if you decide otherwise.

Peter was our server. He was most excellent! We shared a Reuben sandwich, and each had a cup of clam chowder. Both were top notch delicious! I'm sure we will be back!!!! Thank you to Peter for being a great waiter!!!

The food is good in general, but honestly overpriced for the quality unless it's happy hour pricing... then again, that's the economic era we're living in, right? A train station repurposed into a pub? Sign me up! Some might find it gimmicky, but I happen to like the concept of turning old buildings into eateries. This is what McMenamins in Oregon does. I happened to be in Roseburg for work, and a colleague and I went there one day for lunch. My colleague ordered a cheeseburger, while I had the Portland Dip (turkey, grilled mushrooms, Swiss cheese, secret sauce, with garlic jus for dipping). She said the cheeseburger hit the spot, while I thought the Portland Dip sandwich was just OK. But the tater tots that came with the sandwich were AMAZING. No, seriously, maybe the best tater tots I have ever had. Super crispy on the outside (I also asked for Cajun style so it had a nice Cajun spice coating) and soft and puffy and steaming on the inside. What tater tot dreams are made of. The tots came with a side of ranch, but that paled in comparison to the black garlic aioli that my colleague (an Oregon native already familiar with McMenamins) asked for on the side. We could have eaten a big bowl of that aioli, with a spoon! The decor was inside was eclectic, with a collection of different light fixtures and lots of wooden features. The service was also very friendly and attentive. McMenamins also brews its own beer, and you can order a flight of six beers for just $12, which is a great deal. The brews are pretty darn tasty, too. If you're looking for some incredible tater tots, and maybe a nice cold craft beer in a whimsical setting, McMenamins is definitely worth a visit.

Great burger, ambiance and service that's typical for McMenamins properties. My only complaint was that it was quite cold in there - get your HVAC system improved. This was in November but food served hot cools off quick in a 60 degree dining room. Overall it's a good value and fun place to dine.
Happy hour discounts helps us enjoy the delicious burgers and fries a bit more often than we could.
