The chowder is full of clams and small potato pieces, not bad. First time I can recall getting a piece of bread with butter on the side of chowder. The shrimp fettuccine was very creamy with lots of shrimp. Service was friendly and fast.

Update- there are NUMEROUS reviews on here about people not liking their food and when they try to send it back, the manager blames the customer, laughs at them, says they don't take food back and offer refunds, and have told multiple customers they are liers. This was not a one time issue, so you better like what you order or your out of luck. I feel sorry for the waitstaff here. You could tell the waitress was scared out of her mind. Do not ever go here. Regardless of how the food was (which the crab was not good. I've eaten here before, it was fine in the past. So obviously it was cooked wrong or something that day. Doesnt really matter.) When we requested a manager to discuss having the food taken off as I was not going to eat it, we were told the food was fine, he's never had a customer complain in 20 years, and that it was our fault for not being experienced in eating crab and ordering it wrong. We had to fight with him to get some money off and he refused to refund the whole order as I had "eaten a few pieced already". Never in my life have I been to a restaurant that refuses to take a meal off. And i wasn't even offered anything else to eat. I dont care how good any of the other food was, never coming back. Won't support a company who fights with customers and calls them liers. Unbelievable.

My husband's first time visiting Seaside and he was overwhelmed with choices of where to eat. Wanted to make his birthday dinner special. We finally decided to give Norma's a try.
I got the crab fettuccini and chowder -
Delicious pasta with just the right amount of sauce. There was a lot of crab in it (which made me feel better about spending $40 on pasta... OUCH). The chowder was delicious. Thick with out being paste. No filler celery. Great amount of potato and clams.
My hubby got the assortment fish and chip -
This meal came with one each of halibut, tuna, cod and salmon. He does not like salmon so he got two of the cod. I know he was trying to be nice about it but could tell he was not super happy with his meal. All of his fish seemed a bit undercooked (the batter was really pale). The flavor was not bad but was not memorable (a bit bland and mushy). He always clears his plate but was barely picking at it. I think he liked his fries the best (which says something). I do not think we would come back here for the fish and chips again.
The waitress was attentive and the staff was friendly. Very mom and pop atmosphere.
Overall, I would definitely come back if I am in the mood for a good chowder bowl but as far as dinner. I might try elsewhere. For $100+ dinner I think it is just ok.

I had the fish and chips one day and came back again to try the chicken strip dinner. Both meals were absolutely delicious, fresh, with nice size portions. I will definitely make this a regular stop when I’m visiting Seaside. Truly a delicious restaurant!
Dietary restrictions: The fries are gluten free!
Kid-friendliness: They were very helpful with finding a little chair for my baby nephew’s car seat!
