We always make time to stop in at Sam's when visiting Seaside, whether its to grab a drink in the bar or lunch with the kids. Service can be slow, but we are never in a hurry.

the service is non existent. love the food if you can get anyone to wait on you. I keep going back and have waited over a 1/2 hour and no one even brings you water or takes your order. this has happened 3 out of the 6 times I've been there. 3 times I have walked out do to no one helping us. sad. we were not the only ones to walk out. hope the owners see this review.

Service is non existent. The food is great it's just getting someone to take your order. Have given this place so many tries. At this point I don't think anyone works there because we were there 30 minutes and no one even brought us water. 3 other groups left without getting waited on.

Don't come here unless you have a ton of time to waste. There was only one lady running the whole establishment.. While usually I'd have the patience, however she kept pushing me off, couldn't give me a time frame and definitely felt I was a complete bother! She didn't have enough money to cash my lottery tickets out (less than $300 mind you) said she needed to pull cash out of the machines but needed me to wait for her to serve her tables... 45 minutes later and I'm still waiting. They close at 8 and I'm leaving town before they open. Really bad experience.

Had high hopes for this place. My wife and I are both easy to please when it comes to food but this was disappointing. We both got the chicken fried steak breakfast. It was the worst chicken fried steak we've ever had. It was oozing with oil, waaaay to salty, and pretty sure it was made out of Hamburger which is not how that dish is upposed to be made. Even the sourdough toast was dry and seemed old. How do you mess up toast lol?? The potatoes were dry and had almost no flavor. The only halfway decent part of the food was the eggs, and that's being extremely generous. The drawings on the wall were cool. Other than that, sorry Sam, definitely would not recommend.

I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent order placed at your establishment. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a burger, and found the quality of the food to be very mediocre.
Given the high prices, we expected a much better dining experience. Unfortunately, the low quality of the food did not justify the cost.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend your restaurant.

Had the jambalaya and the fish n chips (halibut). Plus cup of clam chowder. Overall, pretty solid! Fish n chips were on point! The clam chowder was awesome! Jambalaya was okay. Everything was served hot, food tastes fresh. Jambalaya was just a little too tomatoy for my taste but it was still decent. Looking forward to trying different items on next visit which we will def be back.
