Unpretentious, good staff, new owners are listening, always greeted, wait time is no worse than anywhere else on coast, best local working class, enjoy our occasional wkend breakfast, and as a woman it is a place I'm comfortable going in alone; yep, toast has been terrible, no scotch last time I checked. I have faith in their continued efforts!

Sat for more than 20 minutes, place was about 1/3rd full and the waitress was acting like nit was on fire. Sat us with menus and no drinks and told us 'It's really busy, I'll get you in a bit.'
Finally decided to leave and as my group stands up the waitress goes "well wait, why are you leaving you're next?"
Well we didn't know that on account of the zero communication you had with our table.

It's very small, but like a family kitchen so works if you want somewhere quite and ok with being close to people. It was very homey, so was what I needed at the time

3 of us shared Poppyseed Strawberry Salad, FirstMate, and Skipper. The Clam Chowder is the real Deal. Great portions and service. Homey atmosphere. Hair in water and dirty utensil. Could happen anywhere.

We were staying in Seaside as we were traveling down the coast, and love to try local, hole in the wall places. We were there at dinner time, and were the only ones in the restaurant. We could hear others on the bar side. Our drinks were great! We were not super hungry so my husband and I shared the steak and potatoes. It was good, but the toast that came with it had a very chemical taste with it. It was very strange.

Love the consistency of the service and wonderful food.
So sad to see the sea breeze has gone so down hill been going there when at ocean for 25 plus years had French meat was crunchy over grilled auju was all grease and no flavor noticed all seafood now is frozen 60.00 for three lunches only thing good at our table was chicken strips our reason for going was clam chowder at 2pm was told not ready yet although sign on building advertized they have it all day very very disapointed. Won’t be there long serving that kind of food

Food and service was amazing! We keep coming in and trying the specials. Love every one of them, but this last Saturday night the brisket was so perfect! Going in for breakfast this morning! Best steak and eggs ever!
