All of the reviews are spot on—this little gelato shop is a gem! The staff is so kind and welcoming, the prices are great, and the gelato flavors are absolutely fantastic. I also love that they’re open fairly late. We had such a good experience and will definitely be making this a regular stop whenever we’re in Seaside. Highly recommend!

I’ve tried gelato all over Europe and anywhere I find it stateside. And when I say “try”, if there’s gelato around, I’m eating it at least a few times a day. Of the hundreds of scoops I’ve had, none were as good as any scoop I’ve had from Sea Star. Their American flair on classic flavors and their own unique creations always hit! The owners are the nicest people that are passionate about what they do, and turn that passion into the best gelato possible. I try to make it to Seaside at least once a year, and when I do, I’ll stop into Sea Star at least 2-3 times. This place is that good!

The Caucasian guy who assisted us on the 9th of September was super UNFRIENDLY and made me uncomfortable. Bad customer service and ice cream flavors from Zingers are tastier and better.

8 flavors of sorbet! Most of the flavors on our trip were fruit flavors which was a bit of a bummer. We tried the Blood Orange and Mint. The mint tastes straight up like toothpaste so be warned. The blood orange was excellent. They were both very "creamy."

The gelato was delish. Everyone else in town thought so too. The line to get in was at least 30 minutes and was almost around the block. They did not have the madigascar vanilla, so I got the dutch chocolate. Worth a stop.

Went in for coffee ended up grabbing a few scoops of ice cream. Husband loves rum raisin so we got this flavor it was so creamy had the perfect taste of rum 😋 I got the pineapple which was yummy .. and avocado. It's a creamy not super strong flavor for the ones who prefer less sweetness. Wish I would have tried the pomegranate and grapefruit those looked delicious
The owners are awesome people who really put their heart and soul into the business. They make over 300 flavours which they rotate as the day progresses. When you're inside, take a look at the ceiling fans which are motorized by a pully system - a neat historic feature of the building!
