Seaside Candyman

I bought 1 1/2 lbs. of various flavors of Saltwater Taffy. I brought it home and tried the flavors and they were hard and not fresh. When I called on March 11,2025 at 5:45 pm and asked for a manager, the response was even more disappointing than the taffy! She told me that I let it get cold and that all “sales are final “ and hung up on me. I’ve been buying taffy there for years and definitely won’t again!

Many to choose from. I got so much to share w my coworkers. Many pickle and Dr. Pepper flavored! The taffy is indeed very hard... I thought that was normal.

I don't know what's going on with their online orders, but I ordered something here around February 5th, 2025. The email I received said that orders are shipped out the day after the order is in. I have no info for anything. I will be calling my bank on Tuesday, February 18th since Monday is Presidents' Day. It's disappointing since the shipping was almost as much as the order and I went through a lot of websites to find a taffy place that offers me multiple flavors to try. I'm sure you can get candy if you go into the store, but never order online. They will steal your money.

Update: today is February 28th, 2025, and I finally have my taffy. Just ate a piece and it was good. Can't be too mad about the package being late since it was packed nicely. Address handwritten and everything. And it came with a list of the taffy and descriptions for each.

The stalest salt water taffy i have ever bought in seaside! The outsides should not be so hard you can barely chew it. Bought over 20$ in taffy got a few of most flavors and they are all hard and most are flavorless or definitely do not taste like what they say! Super disappointed i spent my taffy money at this store!
Also the woman behind the plastic was hard to hear as I a hard time hearing when it's loud and she had to repeat herself and was rude.

every piece was hard and stale. How disappointing. My sister’s bag of taffy was hard and stale, too.

While it is an amusing store, the taffy is very old and stale. My family was in Seaside two weeks ago and I visited this store, and when I tried the taffy that I bought a day or two later, it was the hardest, most stale piece I've had of taffy. I was a bit disappointed because there are so many kinds of taffy, but it's not soft and chewy how it's supposed to be.

I went in to purchase taffy for my husband and for gifts to bring home to neighbors. Happy I got some for my husband first just to try. It was absolutely awful, so hard and stale, we couldn't eat it, shame on them for selling such awful candy. I would not recommend anyone going in there to purchase anything.

Bought taffy, use to be able to taste the flavors.. now if I hadn't known what I Bought, I wouldn't be able to tell. Very bland. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend. There's little taffy places all over with flavors you can smell and taste in the taffy

Spin the taffy wheel and see if you’re a winner! Staff is kind and this candy shop preserves the spirit of pre-2010s Seaside, and they’ve kept the old film photos on the wall :) Come for the many salt water taffy and Jelly Belly flavors. Best taffy flavor? Margarita or sour blue raspberry. Parking is easy; just across the street in the public parking lot.
