Our visit could not have been more average. Food was OK; ambiance was just OK. No traditional sushi menu, for writing down your orders. The only thing that was remarkable was the hurried and curt service from the older woman who seemed to be running the show that night.

First time ordering and it was bomb. We did take out, staff was polite lite and prompt . We Will definitely be ordering again. The octopus nigiri was delicious and so was the sweet shrimp.

We have been to Akatsuki several times and love the sushi! We also discovered the delicious, hearty tonkatsu ramen! It was scrumptious and filling. The prices are what you'd expect for sushi. We don't always have a sushi budget but when we do, we love going to Akatsuki!

Every thing is good. I got their soup and sushi lunch combo. It's got a classy atmosphere. Staff seems nice. You get good views of the river from the first dining area.

Second visit here and the sushi is excellent. Service has been great both times, attentive but not over the top. We had the miso soup, a lion king special roll, a volcano roll and a Hawaiian roll.Kid-friendliness: We’ve seen several families come in with their kids, and the staff is very accommodating.

Flavorless. Nothing tasted right, tempura bland needed salt or something, Terriyaki chicken tasted like bacon not Terriyaki rice bland, and coleslaw vs Japanese salad in bento. Will not be back!

Everything here is AMAZING! My Fiancé and I came here for the first time last week to try their sushi and ramen. We have been back 3 times since then! This is our new favorite spot. There's such a wide variety of choices, the service is INCREDIBLE, and the atmosphere is so calm and relaxing. There hasn't been a single thing on the menu that we haven't absolutely loved. I highly recommend trying this place. You'll be hooked once you do!

We have been looking for a decent place to get sushi since we moved back to Oregon from SoCal. This is the closest we could find, and it actually is wonderful! Bento box is the way to go, however most items on the menu, which admittedly, I have only been there twice, look to be good, and what we have had tasted was very good. Excellent location and view of the creek btw.

Our first time here. Our server was really rude. We almost didn't stay for food because of Mr Rude. Happy to say the food ( sashimi , bento box etc.) was absolutely fantastic.
We've stopped in twice for lunch. It's a cozy spot in Silverton, a short distance away from the busy heart of town. The price and selection is fair, and the riverside setting is perfect.

Gave this little spot a try for our family dinner since it had good reviews. After waiting for 15 minutes I decided to leave. We watch the waitresses walked right by us taking care of other customers. I thought maybe they are busy, but when I noticed new customers came in within a minute the waitress was already taking their orders. They took 3 different customers order. I waited to see if maybe now they would take our order, but that was not the case. Waitress placed the order at the bar and continued cleaning. That's when I decided to get up grabbed my children and take my business elsewhere.

Was disappointed that they had sea urchin on the special board only to be told they were out. Was surprised that the place was practically empty and service was sub par. Food was exceptional. I just would like a better experience with explanation of foods offered. Clean the windows regularly as you are over the creek and condensation is an issue.
