Tonight I ordered a margarita pizza and the Oregon salad, and it might just be the most delicious salad I have ever eaten. Greens were fresh and the flavors were just the perfect combination. Husband reports the pizza was fantastic. The kid couldn't reply because her mouth is full of pizza. Highly, highly recommended.

Pizza was disgusting... Got a thin crust that was all soggy.... yuk!

There is no other pizza crust in existence like this pizza crust - delicate slightly flakey and a little bit of chew - but not that aching why am I still chewing this chewiness chew - it’s just right chew - it taste good too. The sauce - not a complicated mess with a splash of sugar - nope it’s like … a gazelle in slow motion bounding from one taste bud to the next - poised - free - careful - not sloppy not contrived not vulgar. Excellent really - for our little Spring Field in a strip mall with a five guys and a Panda Express blathering across the street you might think this little avenue is void … but take that turn toward the Best Buy and turn immediately to the right - and voila …. Caio … not Chow

Super good seafood soup and tiramisu ! Also the bread they give you in the beginning is super soft and amazing. Sad I did not try this place sooner , it is expected to close for good in a few days .

First customer of the day. Staff cutting and preparing food from scratch, surrounded by multi million dollar poisonous food chain restaurants. I was happy to find them on my road trip. Delicious, well prepared food.

I was a bit concerned after reading all of the negative Yelp reviews on here. Knowing that this place is connected to the Excesior Inn was a positive thing for me even before I went in. Was greeted in friendly fashion, seated, and immediately felt comfortable in the atmosphere. Started my meal with the pears wrapped in duck prosciutto, some bread with basalmic and oil, and a nice glass of wine. Appetizers were well balanced and flat out delicious, not to mention presented well. Bread was tender and a pleasure to eat. Ordered the Osso Bucco for two with my companion knowing that this was quite a dish to prepare. It came with kale and was on top of polenta with the cooking sauce defatted and reduced im guessing. All I can say is Wow. I and my companion are both cooks and foodies. I am not easy to impress, and since my friend specializes in Italian, neither is she. I've never had a better version of this in my life. She agreed. Polenta was creamy, so creamy. The kale was well flavored and delicious and perfectly cooked. and the shank was perfectly tender and so flavorful. The sauce tied it all together perfectly. I couldn't help myself, I went back for several servings as the dish brought to us was enough to feed a family. I'm still wanting some of this for breakfast leftovers this morning. cant wait to brew some joe and reheat it. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is my favorite thing I've ever eaten at a restaurant in the Eugene/Springfield area. I am looking forward to returning and splitting the cioppino next. Great job, folks. I absolutely loved it. Very unexpected at that level. This restaurant is a good one. One tip to the folks that complain about the pizza from someone who makes pizza often in my pizza oven at home; Eat it while it's fresh and in person, not for takeout. Real pizza is designed to eat hot out of the oven. Bravo, Ciao Pizza!

I visited for the first time tonight with my sisters. They'd never had Detroit-style pizza, so I had to take them there. Detroit-style is delicious: I love the crispy cheese bits you get along it's crust! This was a good take on that style of pizza--not the best, not the worst, but a standard product. The cheese was gooey, the sauce was nice (albeit sparse), the crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. This pie was a bit greasier than any I've had before--the bottom of the box was soaked through with grease. But it's great to know this is available in my community for days when I miss this Midwest treat.

I went here for the pasta since it said it was locally made. It was definitely good. I got some of the Ravioli and my Fiancee did the 'make your own pasta' with the sage butter sauce and clams. Both were great!Plan on coming back to try the different pastas!

Tried this place out for the first time tonight and was blown away! Incredible food, good atmosphere and fresh ingredients - can't ask for anything better. I'll definitely be back!

This place does have some positives...for instance the service is very eager. So eager that they hooked me up with garlic breadsticks to go with my slice of pizza. Carb-o- licious! But should I really be complaining about free bread? No. It's more the quality of the food. Or lack of. The pizza is just a cheese pizza that they cook this morning, and if you order let's say, pepperoni they put pepperoni and extra cheese on top and then toss it back in the oven for you. It's not great. The lasagna wasn't terrible but it did taste like it had been previously frozen. I don't think it was made fresh that day.

They did a good job with takeout protocols. We ordered a medium pizza Capri and the Oregon Salad. both very good, tasty and yummy.

The owner of this place is unbelievably rude and has horrible customer service. I was previously in this place once and explained in detail that my wife and I are vegan. Our order was taken and we were told that everything on it was vegan. The next time I can in I called in a order that was identical. I was not told by the staff that the order was not possible. However as I entered the restaurant to pickup my food the owner proceeded to yell and cuss at me that the order was not possible. I asked him if they had lied about our previous order, as we are vegan because of FOOD ALLERGENS. He continued to yell and cuss at me, implying that he did not care. He shrugged off that he had lied about our previous order and promptly told me to leave without offering an alternative solution or a refund for the previous meal. I thought the owner was just a rude worker, until I called after the experience to talk with management, I was told he was the owner, and promptly hung up on. Don't go to this place if you actually want to know the ingredients in your food, they are deceitful. I doubt that their ingredients are fully Organic as advertised either. Another restaurant that is marketing like they have vegan and organic options, but fail to deliver.Edit: even after the owner responded he failed to apologize for his mistake or offer a refund for the meal he lied about. He obviously feels that he has no responsibility for what is served to his customers. Asking someone to leave because you could not make what you previously promised that you were capable of, is not a reaction that should be condoned. When you are called out on a short coming you should offer an apology and exceptional customer service to remedy the situation. And yes David, your customers are "Entitled" to know what is in their food.

This is in response to Robert's baffling review. I was actually the waitress he saw last week. He ordered a vegan pizza on classic crust. Which I told him that we are able to put vegan cheese on pizzas, he asked for vegan cheese on their salads which I told him I wouldn't recommend because it's used for pizza, so I'm not sure how it would taste uncooked. He was very happy with his experience, the service, and the food. However, he didn't feel inclined to share his lovely experience that time. Tonight Robert came in, I believe he ordered a deep dish pizza with another server and wanted it to be vegan. Unfortunatly we are unable to make deep dish vegan pizzas. Yes, it's frustrating because he did not get told that over the phone. I saw the server (during our dinner rush) trying to find his number to call him back to tell him the updated news, and get him something else. Later he comes in the restaurant, and starts yelling and cussing at my manager and owner. He caused a scene which made me upset overhearing it. I did not hear Dave raise his voice nor cuss at the customer. When Robert started making a scene, Dave told him many of times to leave the restaurant. You will not get a refund, if you start a scene or act disrespectful to any of the staff. I am saddened that I had a great experience with them as my customers the first time coming in. But he became unhinged when there was a miscommunication. There are a lot of new hires, and we are short staffed. So we are trying our best. But cussing at the staff or owner, then not leaving a truthful review- does not help.

Had dinner at Ciao's the food was really good. There was a guy who came in and started cursing at the owner after they said they couldn't have a Detroit with with vegan cheese cause its already has normal cheese baked into the crust. The owner apologized and try to help the guy out but he just went off, there were kids there. Some people but other then that definitely go in and try the food!

Dinned here a few time with colleagues and we all enjoyed our meals. I got a salad both times with chicken and guess what... it wasn't dry!! My pizza slice was also very delicious. The crust made it a stand out and worth the carb overload, not to mention the wonderful focaccia bread our waitress brought us. Service can be a little slow but just be patient!
