Okay I make it a point to never post bad reviews. I usually only post about good experiences because I want to keep positive vibes flowing through the universe. However today I went to Mezza Luna’s for lunch in Springfield. I picked up a salad and a slice. The pizza wasn't heated long enough, but it was tasty. When I opened up the Caesar salad, most of the lettuce was orange at the edges. All were wilted. The croutons were soggy. It’s when I pulled a very long, dark, colored hair that I started gagging. I called Mezza and was told they would write me in the book and I said no you need to see this. I drove back down there. They admitted that a worker on the weekend had that color or hair. Okay… in what world is it okay to pack up a dressed Caesar salad over the weekend and sell it a day or two later? I wouldn’t even do that at home. Lettuce with red/brown edges is the worst… but half the salad being brown? They offered to make me a fresh salad but I said I had lost my appetite. The combination of nasty, old, wilty salad that’s been fermenting in the fridge until it bubbles like Kimchee and then adding in the hair almost had me throwing up. I am still sick over it and hope I don’t actually get sick from it. I don’t think I will even be able to go there again and I was there when it opened. My request of Mezza Luna’s is… don’t make any salad to sell days ahead and especially not a Caesar. Ew. Did it even have a date on it? Please change the way you serve food - I don’t go out to eat to pay for someone else’s trash.

I waited a whole hour just for them to tell me they forgot my order. I have been coming here for ten years and the service has gone in the trash. I will never be coming to this location again. Pretty sure racism had a part to play in how they treated me too. I was the only black person there and I was the only one who they “forgot”

The pizza was cooked well. The only reason I gave this a 4 was due to the parmesan cheese on top. Not a fan and this was the first time there. Sauce wasn't spicy or sweet which was refreshing.

Best pizza so far. We enjoyed a pepperoni slice and a stinky garden slice. Both were great. We were very glad to have found this place. Crust was thin and crunchy. The cheese was the real stuff. The place is nice and clean and the staff was friendly. We will be back again.

Brought the family for a lazy Thursday day at home having two little ones is hard to find a spot where we can all eat the same cheese slices are life savers and the "grown up" options are always great fresh and great quality and the prices are still reasonable for now days economy don't forget the salads too we are definitely coming back.

There was no gum-line on the pizza, resulting in a soggy pizza, even though it was picked up in adequate time. The toppings were sparse and raw, with the cheese not being melted-- it slid off the crust. The crust was overly kneaded, tough to bite into, and somehow wet at the same time. Unfortunately, $30+ can be spent elsewhere. (I understand that times are tough and that inventory needs to be stretched to make ends meet, so maybe that's why it wasn't on par with the rest.)
