I came here for a fundraiser recently and it was my first time. I will say it will not be my last! This place was really cool. I loved their outdoor patio; it's covered and offers heat lamps so it can be enjoyed even in cold weather. Their drinks were very good and I love their wide selection of spirits being a distillery. If hard alcohol isn't your thing, they do offer beer and wine too I believe. Their food menu is small but there are plenty of places nearby if you want or need something more substantial. They do have a parking lot but it isn't the biggest however there is plenty of street parking around. If you haven't been, definitely give this place a try!

Had high hopes but was ultimately disappointed. We were there for nearly half an hour and the moment we walked in we were treated like we didn’t matter. The server that took our drink order was very curt. She gave us our drinks and never returned. She did however spend about 10 minutes chatting up the table right beside of us. We thought that she’d return to our table after she finished talking to the only table in the place but she failed to do so. We got up, paid, and left. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but there is no excuse. I’ve been in the industry. Communication is key. Had she told us that she’d be right with us or ask us if we wanted some waters or something, maybe we’d have stayed. I gave them 2 stars because the gin is decent. We ended up going to George and Violet just down the road and we were treated wonderfully and served immediately.

Drinks are exceptional and atmosphere is cool and tasteful. Service has always been great and they keep improving their cute patio -which allows dogs! Their flavored vodkas are the best! And food is quite good as well. I hope they survive Covid because this place is one of the best establishments in Springfield.

Swallowtail is awesome! We celebrated our friend's birthday here tonight and they happily accommodated our party of 15. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the service was phenomenal. We met both the owner and the manager and they took such good care of us. They cracked jokes with us, let us queue up songs to play through the speakers, and even brought us extra goodies and treats throughout the entire time we were there. I would definitely recommend Swallowtail for birthday dinners, date nights, etc. I can't wait to come back. Thank you guys for being so incredible to us!

This was my second visit to Swallowtail. Walking in the door we were met with a smile and welcome to Swallowtail. We grabbed a menu and headed out to the outdoor seating. No problem distancing as regretfully there were on two women sharing a table outside. The food menu is on a light board up above the entrance. The small font had us walking up to see the menu. I am sure that had a printed menu had we asked. My date had a martini and completed the drink. $8.25 for a martini is unheard of. I went for a local IPA. When I hesitated ordering the server suggested she bring me a sample to try. WOW was that nice. I highly recommend supporting this local distillery. The ambience is fantastic, close to the bus station and great guest service.

Horrible service! Brought out the appetizer at the same time as my husbands dinner. Never did see my dinner. Then they tried to charge us for the dinner that never came. Very disappointed. Never asked us if we wanted another drink or if our food was okay. They weren't even that busy and she just kept saying how busy they were and how she didn't have time to talk to us. If I owned this place I'd have fired Erica right there and given all those people the service they came in for. We will choose to spend our hard earned cash elsewhere. Great job helping us recognize great service when we see it elsewhere. Don't order the shrimp ceviche they'll give you broken chips from the bottom of the bag. Mmm yummy just how do you eat it??? Anything would have been better. All around dissatisfied and disappointed

My wife and I have enjoyed the adult beverages from this place for quite a while and finally got to check out the new space.The space itself is allot bigger than expected. The flow was really good while still plenty of space. Well decorated as well.The food is what really surprised me the most though. I was expecting the typical that you'll get from other distilleries but this place really blew me away with some awesome bacon wrapped shrimp and homemade giant pretzel.The best part, no fighting trying to find a place to park or crowds of people to find a table.

Erica the bartender is amazing, a magician with drinks and worth the drive to meet her.( we are from portland) the chef (didn't get his name) made the best burger. (brie, apple and bacon burger) so delicious. we will be back. quality staff and service.

A group of us were fortunate recently to get a tour of the Swallowtail facilities. We really enjoyed seing the process and hearing about the knowledge and science behind making premium spirits. Then we enjoyed some fantastic appetizers and cocktails at their bar in downtown Springfield. A wonderful evening!

We had to great flights of vodka and gin. The distiller spoke with us about their Otis Whiskey based on Ninkasi’s Otis Stout. AMAZING! we had the veggie platter and pretzel. Again very good. I would come back again. Only bummer is I could not leave with a bottle of Otis Whiskey. Maybe next time.

This was our first time visiting. We chose this for my wife and I to have a date night. We were very happy in our choice. Drinks are amazing and the appetizer and charcuterie board was also amazing! Please do yourself a favor and make this a night our destination!

This place is really special. We came on a slow Thursday, they ended up closing early. That did not deter them from being the kindest people ever which added to our night out. Food is great! We had the ahi bowl, burger, bacon wrapped shrimp, charcuterie board. Sprits are one of a kind! Thanks y'all !
