I really, really prefer to support family-owned businesses, which is why I detoured to come for breakfast after a friend told me about the place. Unfortunately, they only serve breakfast until 11am, so I wasn't able to order eggs and ended up having a burger and onion rings. The food was veryiddle of the road. Awe, we had a nice time at Gingerbread House. I had the bison burger and onion rings and she had a taco salad and a Reeces milkshake. It was all good and we enjoyed reminiscing about past times. There are some good historical pictures on the walls to help with the memories. We miss all the animals and monkeys but times have changed and we are glad there is nothing caged anymore.
We stop by here on our way home from vacation and it did not displease. I usually find all burger joints the same and wouldn't have picked this place to stop to eat if it wasn't for my husband. I shared the 2/3 cheese burger basket with fries and my daughter got a kids cheese burger.
