Been going here a few years. Last year or so, food quality seems to be going down: Dried out ribs, potato skins have barely any toppings, and prices going way up. We mostly just go for an appetizer & drinks now.

Small bar and grill in a small town, but that is all that is small they hit a home run with flavor and atmosphere. Service was slow because it was crowded but friendly and well worth the wait when food arrived hot and flavorful.

I will be making the 30 mile trek from my house regularly.

5 stars all around on this one. See you there.

Last time I ate here, I received half of a club sandwich, which was skimpy. 17 bucks for a half sandwich? The tots were not good. Picked up on weird vibes from the server. No thank you, they aren't what they used to be.

We found the Wooden Nickel on a road trip. It was a great find, definitely worth pulling off the freeway to enjoy this local pub and grill

It took over 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged. We seated ourselves. We waited 20 minutes more, gave up and got our own drinks and menu. Several more minutes before waitress came to the table. When she did, she was unfamiliar with the menu. An hour later we still had no food and had not been checked on. Several other customers were having similar mega long wait times. Our waitress was awol for most of our duration and the second waitress was unhelpful. We finally got up and left. That was two hours ago and I doubt if they have noticed. I have been there before and had excellent service and good food. Tonight was ridiculous and they have lost good customer who ordinarily tips well.

We found this place as the only one open late in the vicinity of Silver Falls State Park where we were coming from, very hungry. We didn't expect much except we hoped they are not out of the some edible choices which were listed on their internet menu. The place turned out to be fantastic in terms of choices of delicious foods, late night availability thereof, great service... and both the quality and the quantity. The crabby artichoke dip and stuffed prawns entry were superb! And the level of service would make some Michelin starred restaurants envious.
