Wailani shave ice and island grindz

Amazing amazing shaved ice!!! This place is so cute. Lots of games outside. Indoor and outdoor seating. The vermicelli bowl is delicious and the chicken is perfectly cooked! 10/10.

Delicious shave ice!! Just got back from Maui, and surprisingly, I wasn't impressed with many of the shave ice there. I really appreciate Wailani even more!

Shave ice on top of ice cream?? Who knew how awesome this could be?

It was a 92°F day and it melted faster than ice on a griddle, but it didn't matter!!
So freaking good. Highly recommend!!

Good thing they don't have much local competition because this food is bone dry compared to other Hawaiian restaurants. It's not bad, just extremely dry, and they're always out of lemongrass chicken. Macaroni salad is medicore at best compared to other Hawaiian places I've ate at. The banh mi has hardly any pate and hardly any jalapeño i only got one bite with jalapeno both times i tried it, I was so sad because I'd been wanting a restaurant that serves banh mi forever but im going to ask for a side of it next time. Most other Hawaiian places give you at least one container of teriyaki sauce, 2 for larges, which would help with the dryness. Decent portions, just so dry.

My relative had to have a painful surgery. I went to sit with her and asked her if she had any requests. Wilani mudslide. So that is what I brought her. She said it really hit the spot
