Im a big sour beer fan and cannot recommend this place enough, variety of unique styles, some very hard to find. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, and very good prices considering the work that goes into these. Not to be missed.
Amazing experience! Tried 4 beers and got to chat up one of the owners or brewers. He was so patient and engaging....very appreciative! Highly recommend this place:)
We drove all the way from Alberta just to try de Garde's amazing offerings of spontaneously fermented beers, and wow was it worth it! Trevor is a master, and his staff are simply amazing. Great prices too, not that it matters :) Cheers!
Fantastic!!
Great selection of de garde offerings and guest taps. Loved the to go bottle selection and prices. The purple in gin barrels was magnificent!
De Garde is my new favorite brewery. If you like sours or wild ales de Garde will not disappoint. All the beers we tried were very unique. They all had specific flavor profiles: sweet, tart, fruity, hoppy, funky. The description of the beers all lived up to their namesakes. Highly recommend stopping in. Definitely a place I'll be taking friends when they come to visit. Overall 9.3 out of 10.
Great beer and cool location. Servers were knowledgeable about their beer and very friendly. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and while not a lot of food options there is a food cart pod a black away. Will be back soon for more great beer!
Amazing small wild ale brewery. A great selection and wonderful atmosphere.
This place was awesome. OUTSTANDING options, great service, reasonably priced, great outdoor patio. Winner
De Garde is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into something rare — like a quiet little temple of fermentation tucked into coastal Oregon. No signage screaming at you, no pretension, just a deep sense that something special is happening behind those barrels and bottles.
I had The Purple, and it stopped me in my tracks. It’s the kind of beer that makes you think harder about fruit, about acidity, about what “sour” can really be when it’s done with patience and purpose. Fancy, yes, but not in a way that tries too hard. Saissany, if that’s a word. (If it’s not, it should be. This beer earns its own vocabulary.)
The whole vibe is chill but focused. You’re not here to slam pints. You’re here to taste, to pause, to recalibrate your palate. And honestly, it delivers. Every detail, from the glassware to the aging process, feels considered. If you know, you know. And if you don’t, come here and find out.

Big thanks to the woman with red hair who helped us but some bottles to go at the very end of her day. Thanks for making the extra effort so some folks from out of state could enjoy the beer!
The staff was very helpful and friendly, with fun and delicious beer and wine. Would recommend and will go again.
This is a taproom that specializes in fruited sour ales. You are able to get small tasters to try multiple ones but these are a specific taste. No food on the menu but there is rotating food truck on site. Nice covered patio with seating, easily walkable to other places in downtown.
This was by far the best brewery experience I've had to date. De Garde has been on my bucket list for 6 years and definitely did not disappoint! Some of the best sours I've ever tasted. The owner was friendly and even gave me a tour!
The bartender was crass with me and kinda hoity toity. No snacks. :( All of their beers are sour, so if that's your thing you'll like it!
