This place has great scenery by the water and outstanding dining was a treat on a nice sunny day.
The pricing is higher than in Tillamook but the food was worth it.
Everything tasted farm to table. The smell of the wood-fired oven kept my stomach ready to eat more.
They have excellent cocktails and non alcoholic drinks on the menu.
Definitely worth the visit.

This was crazy. We spent around 170 dollars for 1 drink each and 3 apps. At the end we ordered a crab mac to go.
Drinks were amazing, didn't taste much of the alcohol but that's fine. Our three apps were oysters in a half shell, calamari, and clams. Unfortunately each of them were underwhelming. The oysters were milky, creamy, and not cleaned proper. The calamari seemed under done but like it was sitting under the heat lamp for too long. The clams had raw whole garlic cloves in the white wine sauce? Like what?
We don't come here often, but when we do, we typically order the crab mac. We thought it might just be a rough night or maybe that they are training new people. We decided to get the crab mac to go. Well we just got back to the place we are staying and we looked and tried it and realized they didn't even put the cheese sauce in.... So we paid 36 dollars for buttered noodles with crab.
It was very disappointing as we used to like this place and this was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner.

We were very impressed with the deliciously prepared local foods! Clam chowder, steelhead, burger, salad, flan…everything amazing!!! Five stars all around. Don’t miss it.

I good restaurant reads customer reviews and listens. At the Schooner, comments are ignored and the customer is told they are wrong. Wow…such ego, for an overpriced local cafe with lackluster and homespun food. Maybe the owners never got past Tillamook to eat at a restaurant.

We came in one night on a Friday, about an hour before they closed, just wanting a drink. We were turned away in a pretty rude way, not a great vibe.
We had an Airbnb down the street, so we came back the next night to give it another try. We walked up to the host, and they said they were not taking reservations or accepting walk-ins for either side of the restaurant. One moment after we were told this, a man cancelled his large reservation. I then asked the two women working, “Can we put our name on the waitlist since you just had a large group cancel?” The gal on the right in the photo very rudely said, “That’s not how this works.”
I understand being busy, understaffed, or closing earlier than posted hours, whatever it may be. But I don’t understand staff being openly rude and disrespectful to a guest asking a question. I don’t recommend going to this restaurant. It’s not worth the attitude you may encounter. You might as well go into Tillamook to find another restaurant or bar with a nice vibe and a welcoming atmosphere.

First time dinning here and will definitely come back. We enjoyed the since protected outdoor space with views of the bay. The food and service were top notch. The oysters were delicious. Great crab Mac and cheese and a tasty flatbread pizza.

The food was good. I was disappointed that I ordered a white wine and got a red. When I questioned the waitress about the red, she confirmed it to be the reisling I ordered. I believe it was a merlot that I got. As a customer, I just want an honest answer and an offer to correct the issue. I should have just sent it back. Otherwise it was a nice meal.

Food and view were good. Staff were dismissive and honestly a bit rude. They were slow to moderately busy. Lots of tables open and several waitresses hanging out by the entrance.Took 10 minutes to get seated. We asked for an indoor table and got seated outdoors. We waited 20-30 minutes and finally asked a waitress for a menu. Waited a bit longer and finally asked about our waitress as all tables around us were getting served. Food was good and the view was nice. Service was just disappointing.

Normally we sit in the bar but have sat outside on NYE and we kept warm from the heaters they had on. They some times have live bands in the bar, which is nice. But get there early to get a spot. Try out the Pizza's, Salad's or Fish N Chips! Great mix drink menu too.
