It has been a long time since I have had the displeasure of having a meal that across the board was so unsatisfying. Everything here is mid-range price, but the portions are small and the food is not fresh. My wife order a “Whiskey Sour” which was obviously watered down to the point that any presence of alcohol (presumably bourbon in this case) was undetectable. We ordered the sushi platter which was listed as being enough for two (it might have been enough for one person) and everything from the sliced ginger, to the raw fish, to the wasabi looked both cheap and old. My wife ordered a chicken udon noodle dish which was severely overcooked and the chicken had this metallic rancid sort of taste to it rendering the dish inedible.
I am giving two stars because the waiter that served us was attentive and polite and didn’t give me any grief over not giving any tip (I suspect because they know what they are doing). If you are looking to enjoy fresh food that is artistically and carefully prepared, this is definitely not a place I would recommend. It feels more like a restaurant that survives on corporate lunch specials. I hate writing bad reviews but this meal was so bad that the current rating (4.5) feels grossly undeserved.

Everything we’ve tried here is delicious. They also have an entire page of the menu dedicated to gluten free. A+

Tomo Sushi in Tillamook is a surprise in the best way. From the outside, you wouldn’t expect to find sushi this fresh and refined tucked away in a coastal Oregon town. But the moment the first plate hit the table, it was clear this place takes its craft seriously. This isn’t just good for a small town. It’s good, period.
The white albacore sashimi was a standout. Silky, clean, and cut with precision. It wouldn’t be out of place in Shinjuku or at Tsukiji, which says a lot. Each slice melted in the mouth, with none of the grain or chew that sometimes sneaks into even higher-end spots. It was plated beautifully and treated with respect, both in the kitchen and at the table.
We also had the spicy tuna roll, which was generous and balanced. It hit that perfect mix of creamy and heat, without overdoing it. The Tillamook kasuge roll was fun and playful, clearly a local favorite and unique to the area. It’s always refreshing to see a place embrace its town with something a little offbeat.
The drinks were a whole experience of their own. I had a Chi Chi that was smooth and tropical without tasting like candy. My partner went for the Tokyo Ice Tea, which walked the line between sweet and strong with surprising grace. Both were creative and well made, far above what I expected from a sushi place drink menu.
If you’re anywhere near Tillamook and remotely into sushi, this is a place to sit down and stay awhile. It’s rare to find a spot where the ingredients, technique, and atmosphere line up this well. I’d come back for the sashimi alone.

Sad, disgusted and disappointed to have eaten here once. Disgusting! There's better places. Grody rolls drenched in syrup and slapped together like poop on a toilet bowl.
Solid option on the coast and one of the best places to get food. Did not expect this quality of meal and service from the exterior looks of it but was pleasantly surprised and looking forward to another visit.
