The cod was burnt! I really wish I had taken a picture. It came out dark dark brown. We requested a replacement and it came out just slightly less dark brown. Old oil will do this . I can not believe the kitchen had the fortitude to send it out!! The shrimp was less fried except the oil these dishes was fried in was old old old and burnt making the tator tots, cheese curds and onion rings taste bitter. The French dip was OK. The clam chowder potatoes had been cooked down to a fine gritty puree. The first time we ate here it was a different cook. The food was good then so we came back. 96.00 later and we left feeling upset. Owner, not sure who was cooking for you that day but I would look into it. They definitely did not care what they were putting out to your customers. We were here Sunday October 13th around 2 pm.

We ordered the Fish and Chips, mine with JoJo's, while my boyfriend had tator tots. The fish was okay, not great though. My boyfriend did not like the breading at all. He also did not touch his clam chowder as it had butter or oil pooling on the top.
The atmosphere here is excellent. The music was good and not too loud. You can easily hold a conversation and tell what song is playing as well as hear it clearly. There is a large smoking section out back with some seating. The women's restroom could have used a cleaning but my boyfriend said the men's room was spectacular.
There is a really cool whale skeleton out back of the bar. We got out of he car and headed toward the field to check out what looked like possible mushroom shaped trees with a bench in the distance and noticed a large whale skeleton on the ground next the to the propane tank. Seemed a little out of place but that didn't deter from how cool it was to see one of those up close.
The waitress didn't talk much but she was on point with our order. She didn't write a thing down and got everything perfectly correct. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a cool place to chill, have a couple drinks, and chat it up with friends/family while listening to good music.

This place was recommended by a local friend. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the same experience. Waited at a table for 15-20 minutes. Got up and waited at the bar for awhile while they served everyone else (it was not that busy). Finally came to our table and took our order. We got a burger and fish sandwich. The burger was good. The cod fish sandwich came out completely undercooked and cold in the middle. They took it back to the kitchen and brought my tots back out (now cold), and made a new one which came out better, but still had undercooked and a little cold in the middle. I was only able to eat less than half of my meal. Very disappointing.

After sitting for 45 mins watching the bartender serve food to others, get drinks and the other staff mingle among groups, we had absolutely nobody come to our table. I got up and stood at the bar gor about 15 minutes before one of the bartenders or persons behind the bar made the statement "We hate tourists." Needless to say we walked out. Tourists keep small towns afloat and when there is a bar in a tourist location, they should probably make a choice to move the location. Hopefully it was just a bad night for that gang.
Worst fish and chips that I’ve ever had. Picked up two orders of fish and chips. Was charged 40 bucks so I assumed it was halibut. Boy was I disgusted when I unearthed beer battered cod that was absolutely cooked to death and to top it off there were 8-9 tiny potato wedges to go with. Cod is super cheap to buy and shouldn’t cost any where near 40 bucks for a few skimpy/thin pieces of over cooked garbage. Your portions suck, prices are ridiculously high, and your food quality is bad. The people leaving good reviews must have had a lot to drink to mask the bad tasting, low quantity, over priced food.
Would not recommend eating here to any vacationers.
