Food this good in portions that keep you going all day long you'll want to keep coming back. Perfect stop between Central Oregon and Eugene and Springfield.

We came here looking forward to a simple breakfast but ended up walking out instead. I asked if I could add mushrooms to my omelette, and the waitress not only told me I couldn’t, but also said I wasn’t even allowed to order mushrooms as a side. When I asked why, the response came off rude and dismissive rather than helpful.

It’s one thing if a restaurant has menu limitations, but it’s another to make the customer feel unwelcome for making a reasonable request. The lack of flexibility, paired with the attitude, was enough for us to cancel our order and leave.

If you’re looking for a place with friendly service and a willingness to accommodate, I’d suggest trying somewhere else.

Thank you for your reply, but I think it’s important to clarify what really happened. I asked if mushrooms could be added to my omelette or at least ordered on the side. I wasn’t “picking apart” the menu, I just didn’t understand why something so simple wasn’t allowed. I also politely asked about outdoor seating because there’s no sign posted that it isn’t available — that was just a question, not a demand.

What I didn’t appreciate was the rude and dismissive way these things were handled. Instead of being met with basic courtesy, I was treated like I was a problem. That’s why we canceled our order and left.

Your reply here, telling me not to come back, only proves my point about how poorly customers are treated. A little respect and professionalism go a long way.

Just your regular diner atmosphere and food but it was prepared with care. I can tell the people working here enjoy what they do and the wait staff was very friendly. I got a side of krinkle cut fries and they were nice and crispy and a very large portion. The breakfast burrito was also really good and very large. I took the leftovers home and had two more delicious meals.

Unfortunately, this was a really uncomfortable experience. The cafe is run by a husband and wife—he cooks, she serves—but they were openly yelling at each other the entire time. Both were curt and dismissive, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than welcome customers. The atmosphere was tense and uninviting. Food was good. Definitely won’t be returning.

Not one to write reviews but needed to share my experience. My wife and I were staying in the area for the week and wanted to try as many new places for food on our trip. We drove past this place a few times and decided to try it one morning for breakfast. The website and sign says open 8-2. We are morning people so we showed up around 8:05-8:10 to which we were the only ones there. We weren’t sure if it was open so we tried the door to which we were shouted out by the lone worker “quit pulling on the damn door” after trying once. We then waited outside for a few minutes when the same worker walked outside by the outdoor restroom and just stared at us as if we were intruding. We decided to eat elsewhere. If the food was as good as the service, I would recommend you leave this place alone and keep driving

Super adorable place! The burgers we had were juicy and flavorful. The wait time wasn't bad, prices were fair and the waitress was super kind.
I WAS a little surprised I had no phone service there, and no wifi, it made me a little uncomfortable, should someone need to reach me. But I still LOVED eating there :)

I don’t just give out 5⭐️’s. I had the BMP Omlette with hash browns, SD toast & a small pancake with my coffee.

The service was quick & friendly! Check ins for coffee refills were right on time & the had siratcha! Hash browns were crispy on the outside & my omelette was packed just right with Bacon, Mushrooms & topped with Pepperkack cheese. This will be my spot once winter starts again!

Stumbled across this restaurant while staying in the area on Saturday. HAD to return for breakfast again on Sunday. Despite the restaurant being small and super busy, the waitress was super friendly and fast. The food was delicious. It actually had flavor and wasn't drowning in cheap oil. I would absolutely recommend Vida Cafe.

Great breakfast. Friendly, hard working staff. Glad we discovered this place on a Saturday so we could return on Sunday. This is our new go to when we are having a weekend getaway at Belknap Hot Springs.
