I find myself staying with friends on mount hood about ever six months. ZigZag Inn is our go to restaurant because they are open mid week and they have such an extensive menu. My go to is the rib dinner. One time I got the full rack and I was eating rib leftovers for three days. This time I went with the half rack and that was just right for one day of leftovers. The ribs are tender, meaty and the sauce is flavorful and sticky.

My other go to is the French dip...

This place has always been amazing. The food is consistently top-notch and it’s my go-to restaurant up here on the mountain. The burgers and pizza are especially great. The manager is exactly what you hope for in a restaurant manager—kind, accommodating, and professional. It’s always a great experience coming here.

I had not been here for almost a decade, but it was better than ever. Huge portions and very well priced. We had the roasted chicken dinner, and it was half a chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed veggies, and a soup or salad all for $13. Would feed two easily. Also had a delicious pizza that would have fed an army. We were stoked ro have leftovers for a couple of days.
