Momiji Sushi Restaurant - West Linn

Called the Fremont location and asked if they served mackerel on their AYCE or in general. I was told they did. After a 20$ uber ride there she then said no they don’t. Then begged me to eat there anyway 🙄 after she made me waste 40$ in uber rides. No thanks! I wish I would spend 37$ at a place that lied to coerce me into coming in to spend money.

I've tried the other Momiji up by OHSU a long time ago while making hospital visits. This location is more convenient for me. Since they reopened under new ownership I've been there twice, already feel like a regular here, the staff are very friendly and easy going. The place is clean and there's no rush to your meal. I like the salmon rolls, salmon nigiri, and basically everything with salmon in it lol.

Sushi is really fresh. Love it.

This place has no process to keep the dining room being served when they have to go orders! We sat there for 55 minutes in an empty dining room waiting for our food, with no warning it would take that long when we got sat. When it finally came out it wasn’t all at once so I sat there watching my husband kid eat. 10 minutes later I had to ask where my food was and they said they forgot to make it! I guess lesson learned, only place to go orders here and don’t come in to eat unless you have 1.5-2 hours to waste and aren’t hungry since they forget to make 1/2 your food. We won’t be back, not even for to go. They need to work on their to go process so they don’t completely ignore their dining room customers and forget to make their food! I do not recommend.

BRAND NEW REMODELED RESTAURANT!
OMG, I love sushi and their sushi is the bomb Diggity. I preferred Japanese own sushi restaurant over Korean because it’s more authentic. I like how it’s small plate and not conveyor belt and mass-produced. I recommend this place anyone who is a sushi lover and their lunch special for $15 bucks is to die for you. Get two rolls of your choice cucumber salad, soup and hot tea. What more do you ask for? Y’all need to go if you’re in West Linn take a visit new owners nice people.
