The White Orchid is underneath Bugatti’s and you enter from the back where there is a parking lot. The food is fresh, colorful, and tastes good. The restaurant is very clean and does a lot of take out, hence there is usually a table available. The service was excellent. They have a lunch and dinner menu with a lot of choices. We ordered no stars and they listened! I was surprised that there was no hot after burn. One star might be my next choice! Overall decent restaurant with nice people working there.

I used to go here a lot, but I ordered online for the first time today and both our entrees were incorrect. Pad thai was average, but we requested it made extra spicy, but instead the lid read no spicy. Changes the entire dish and super disappointing. The fried rice was completely horrible on the other hand. We also asked for Extra spicy and received no spice. The lack of any flavor at all made the burnt pieces of egg( completely charred ) and basically raw onions the stars of the dish. we picked out the pieces of chicken and threw the rest of away..be careful ordering online I guess ?Dietary restrictions: I would absolutely not trust this place to pay enough attention to adhere to dietary restrictions. They don’t read the special instructions.

Their lunch menu is righteous. A lot of food for a great price. Definitely try to stop by if you can. I got an appetizer and an iced coffee because I was very sleepy. Also the waiter was very nice! Would live to come back if I’m in the area.

I was the regular customer there when I went to Marylhurst University around 1998-2006. I remember the huge wall picture in the entrance. The picture is about Loy Krathong by the river. I didn't know any of Thai culture at that time. But after I graduated, I found got a job in Thailand and already stayed in Thailand for more than 15 years. I now speak fluent Thai. Wish I can visit your restaurant again in the future.Oh yeah, about the food, White Orchid is one of the best Thai restaurants in Portland. Tasty food and very clean. You won't go wrong here. Highly recommend!
