Unfortunately I was looking forward to coming back to this restaurant after their “re-opening”. Service was HORRIBLE, the worst I’ve ever had in the county. They were sarcastic, disrespectful, unorganized, and overall a horrible staff. To be honest, we watched everyone else get served around us and their pizzas looked mediocre and uncooked. We waited from 6:45-8:50 for two pizzas which never came. When asked what was taking so long, the cook, who is also apparently the owner (mustache, glasses, graphic t shirt?) was so rude and unprofessionally said “I had to wash my car and go surf” like a rebellious child. What an unfortunate way to run a business. I will never return here and I will go out of my way to tell people how horrible this restaurant is now. I hope they don’t last long, because there is no way they can get this horrible group of staff together. They can only skate by with the old reputation of the salmonberry for so long. I would give zero stars if it were an option. Highly recommend center market, dollar general, Dominos, Papa Murphy’s, or ANY trashy gas station in the county over the salmonberry.
The place is closed.
The wildly fresh oysters The magnificent, life changing fresh pasta dishes The - everything. I loved talking to the folks who had made the food. The bar was so warm and inviting. Just 10/10 a food ? gem

Many have written at length about The Salmonberry. I will try to say something different here. I've always enjoyed my experience and consider this one of my favorite restaurants on the coast. My experience varies some with each visit and I've learned to expect and accept that. You have to "roll with it" here as a lot of how you're served is different than you may expect, starting with the line at the door to place your order and how menu items often sell out quickly. It just may be a pizza night, and that will prove to be fine. Your food will be served quickly and be very good. Though the bartenders are highly competent, the bar offerings are surprisingly limited. A good attitude will serve you well here as the staff will always try to please, if you'll just let them. Of course arriving earlier, in addition to the prospect of a beautiful sunset view, may afford you better odds with what remains available on their blackboard menu. My bottom line: Go experience The Salmonberry!
Parking: May not be easy to see from US 101. You'll cross railroad tracks to get there.

We arrived on a Sunday evening around 5 with no wait to order. While the menu was small, most items were appealing, and we ordered a pasta dish and pepperoni pizza.
The items came out at different times and though they made a mistake on the pizza, the left that one for us and brought us another made correctly in just a few more minutes.
The food was unbelievable. So so good. We are over our heads in good pizza and food in Portland and it was a total surprise to find that kind of quality out here in this tiny coast town.
Yes, the prices are high, but I felt the quality made it worth it.
Kid was happy and loved both dishes.
Beer options were few but excellent.
I wish there was full table service here. It would match the quality of the food. Feels weird to have to grab your own plates/napkins/utensils.
I can't wait to try it again!

The best white wine clam pasta (the bucatini) I have ever had. Unpretentious spot for the best food around. Good drinks too.

We just ate at The Salmonberry for the first time and were blown away by our experience! We had two small children with us and 3 adults and had a great time. The food was excellent (the pizzas and radiatore were so tasty!! ). The food arrived surprisingly quickly (which is great when you have hungry kids). The server was fantastic as well. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to others and come again the next time we are in town.

This is our new favorite spot on the coast. Meatballs are some of the best I ever had. Wood fire pizzas are so flavorful, shrooms was excellent .Highly recommend!!

Pros: great local/sustainable business model; homemade pasta! (although the bucatini with clams was extremely salty), nice atmosphere and location on the water.Cons: counter service model is just really frustrating for me. In a deli or sandwich shop?… sure! If I’m choosing to spend my hard earned money for a thoughtfully prepared meal, then I DON’T want to be getting my own silverware and bussing my own table. I want to sit down and be waited on! And cloth napkins would be nice (sustainable) instead of the fast food quality brown paper ones. Jussayin

We sat in the garden patio and were inundated with yellow jackets and sugar ants. Food wasn't as good as we were expecting for a locally sourced menu. Pizzas and pastas took over an hour on Saturday night however our group's 5 main courses were delivered over a 25 minute period. Overall we were disappointed and will not return.

Excellent fresh menu from local food growers, this is the place I send people when I want to guarantee they have a great dinner.
Good news! I have decided to move in here. I will bring a comfortable couch and buy one dish after another until I am too gigantic to leave. It might take a long time, as the dishes are very healthy. I know I can do it, though! ? ??
