Amazing food at an even better price. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a good burger and a shake. I love the fast service and the amazing hardworking people. The only thing I would change is the hours. Make the days longer ;)
Quarter pound cheeseburger was AMAZING and perfectly portioned! Add jalapenos, they are the best I've had on a burger. Genuine, kind and great atmosphere. Always feels good supporting local businesses too! Highly recommend!!

Qtr pound cheeseburger was so small, I had to laugh. Thought I would support local restaurants but felt my hard-earned $ paid for bread. No wonder everyone after me in line chose the BLT.

We accidentally walked pass this place. We hadn't had breakfast but it was late enough in the day by that time that we were happy to have something savoury. We ordered ourselves a bowl each: one was ahi poke bowl and the other was the the loco moco. Both were damn good. But where have they gone?
A favorite spot for lunch, I'm going to miss Sammy's Aloha when they're gone. If you haven't been, hurry. Tomorrow's the last day. I default to the ahi poke rice bowl most of the time. It's just a really satisfying lunch that doesn't weigh you down either. Nice balance of flavors between the rich tuna and salmon roe with the crisp cucumbers and sharp wasabi coulis. As an alternative I also really like the shaking beef cobb salad. The beef is well-seasoned and tender. The runny poached egg provides for a unctuous dressing to coat the mixed greens. I wished the beef was available as a rice bowl as it will be perfect with the egg. Sadly all good things must come to an end and Sammy's will leave along with Butterfly next to it. Thanks for the good lunches and providing a welcome aloha break in the middle of a hectic work week.

Delicious food for an affordable price although it's takeout. However, there is one table in Butterfly for patron use. Staff is friendly and helpful. Local Hawai'i flavor. Awesome experience! (Btw, stay away from Butterfly restaurant that's connected. Butterfly is a total waste of money for overpriced, mediocre food and rude staff.) Stick with Sammy's Aloha!!!

Thank you fellow Yelpers for this find! As someone who formally lived in Hawaii, I often long for delicious Hawaiian grinds. I had their special, the Porky Boy sandwich. O wish I could eat one daily. Pork katsu, kalua pig, kim chee, and hoisin bbq sauce on a toasted brioche bun. Absolute heaven! My friend had the ono chicken teriyaki bowl with kim chee, black rice, and mac salad. She said it was delicious. The take-out restaurant is located right on the pier you'll be going to if taking the cruise out to Alcatraz. It was the perfect fast and delicious meal before our cruise.

Locals may shudder at the thought of wading through throngs of tourists near Fisherman's Wharf to get to Sammy's...but it is ALWAYS worth it. Stop what you're doing and go get yourself a poke bowl right now. This is the kind of place that makes me want to brag unapologetically to all of my friends not lucky enough to live and eat in this city.

This was a convenient late lunch stop for us upon returning from Alcatraz. I was excited to try a Poke bowl in a costal city, assuming the fish would be fresher, but was sadly disappointed. The ahi poke bowl was palatable, but terribly bland. I've had better, fresher poke bowls in the Midwest, of all places. We also ordered the pork bao, which was delicious and filling, but not at all spicy, as described.
