Double "D" On The Rocks

A bar setting with the best Halibut Fish and Chips ever! Hand battered quality halibut. Totally worth the wait. Again it’s a bar atmosphere and busy with limited staff. Waitress/ owner was very busy yet friendly / fun and had a great sense of humor. Again worth the wait!

Wow… being from Seattle I get some really top notch food… but I can say that the Reuben at Double D, is the best I’ve had… over all the great Seattle Reubens over the years!! My favorite sandwich and this is the best Ive had! Totally ended up here not knowing what I’d get, but very pleasantly surprised! Also has a 7Devils Blond which is always great! Kim was fabulous and went out of her way to help me and get me food to go since I had my pup… and she made the night even better! kudos to the whole staff from front to bar to kitchen!! If you’re passing through south on 101… skip Reedsport and go to Double D in Winchester Bay!!

The server was friendly, but when you pay $19 for nachos, you expect them to be made with real cheese. These were glorified Taco Bell nachos. They were also out of half the menu when I went.

The food was excellent, the cook did a fantastic job because everything tasted amazing. However, the service was extremely slow, and the wait time was extremely long. There were 6 in our group and no one else in the restaurant but us. Our food came fast once the order was finally placed. It took 20 minutes to get our drink order and then another 15 minutes to come take our food order. Most of their time, they were servicing the bar in the adjoining room. We had to get up and ask for stuff.

This place is a joke went there with my friend. I totally got ignored for 15min switched tables, finally got service ordered a french dip shrimp cocktail and clam chowder. They brought out the chowder to me without his dip and before the appetizer. I went ahead and ate the soup that wasn't that bad but could tail it definitely was not whole made. Another 20 mins he finally got his dinner (they said they lost the ticket) then I was told they were out of shrimp. Also be prepared if ya go that they are the only place I have ever been that said fish and chips (market value) then the fish tacos also no price just (market value) lol that kind of menu wording is reserved for 1lb of the product not tacos it was horrible don't waste your time.

I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger without onions & pickles, when my order came, it had onions and pickles on it. So I let the waiter know, and he took it in the kitchen, and just took most of the onions off and the pickles, and brought it back out to me to me, that is not very good customer service.

Clam chowder and French dips here are heaven. Best I've had on the bay since the boat went out of business. Its a must for anyone in the area!

Good music. The bartender is cool and the beer selection and the food is great. We’re staying in Florence for a month and have driven out here twice already. Dive vibe with electronic slot machines. Dogs allowed on a leash which is cool, too.
