We had the Cod fish and chips and chowder in a bread bowl. Very good, hearty portions, crispy and hot fries. Chowder was nice and thick with plenty of class. Loved the old bar and diner atmosphere. Also had outdoor dining in the back. Not a big place but the food was very good.

Absolutely disgusting. They changed the fish and chip batter, clam chowder doesn’t taste the same and everything that came out tasted like it was all fried in old dirty oil. Not worth the price. Very disappointing what has become of such a good place after new owner ship. Won’t be coming back anymore. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Very yummy clam shower and fish & chips plus several beers on tap. Nice atmosphere, and friendly server. Food is so fresh, so there is a bit of a wait, but its worth it. Its great for casual coastal vibes and delicious eats!

Added a kitchen gratuity for a party of four 17.5% That is crazy and we were not told before hand. The food was so so. They only had 3 forks for 6 of us. And 3 of us had drinks in a paper cup and 3 in glass. We would not go back.

Had the shrimp tacos, cold and flavorless. Others with me said food was OK but not worth the price. Took 1:30 to get food. Yet they were not busy. Even our waitress was telling staff that we were hungry. She was doing her best to wait on us.
I really hate writing negative reviews hopefully if you decide to stop it will be better for you.
Disappointed....

A small seafood diner with rust decor. We split the fried halibut (see pic). Was very disappointed with the size of plate and lack of fish for $ 27. Waitress never checked on us and there were 3 other ladies just standing around.

I would have liked to try the food here but they kept closing at 3:00 we tried going 2 times and both times they were closed. I'm sure they're good

My hope that this place was a dive bar we're doused walking in the door. Obviously it's history is steeped in dive bar but now the atmosphere breaths of gentrification. For me, it's ruined! The food is great, albeit slightly fancy for what I was after, the service was friendly and prompt and the place was clean and inviting. Not 1 quality of a dive bar. Me, I wanted an unfriendly vampire server to bring me a greasy burger in a dank dark place that smelled of old cigarette smoke and lost dreams. But hey, it might be just the place your looking for to take your family for a great meal.

Very disappointing. Every time we’re in town we stop by and we’ve always had a good time, but this visit was not good. Took forever to get drinks, order the crab Rangoon‘s and it was basically wonton paper no filling. Apparently no waitresses showed up so a cook was taking orders and serving food although she was nice, it took an hour to get a mixed drink, a beer and an appetizer. once again, very disappointing hopefully they can figure it out and make the restaurant good again.

While camping at a nearby state park, I stopped by this bar-restaurant near Winchester Bay Pier. I ordered the Fish & Chips and their signature clam chowder. Unfortunately, the fish was overcooked—fried at too high a temperature for too long—so instead of being crispy, it ended up a bit tough. As for the clam chowder, perhaps my expectations were too high, as it didn’t feel particularly special.
It’s probably best to enjoy it without expecting too much. That said, the bartender’s friendly service and the overall vibe of the place make it worth a visit.

My wife had the crab cakes and said they were delicious. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder with garlic toast. The toast consisted of two slices of white sandwich bread soaked in garlic butter and grilled. The clam chowder was a thick jelly, full of rubbery clams and seasoning. Luke-warm and inedible. I returned the chowder, and the restaurant was nice not to charge for it.
