Workman's Bar & Smokehouse

My husband and I, along with a group of friends, attended the NYE celebration at Workmans. We all enjoyed a delicious dinner. We had either a steak or alfredo dinner. The meat was smoked an prepared to perfection! The establishment was decorated with great detail and the staff was on point. The band was fantastic! We all danced and enjoyed a fabulous firework show and cheered in the new year! What a great time! We also enjoyed the large and covered patio on occasion throughout the night!

We went early afternoon so it was not busy. The staff was really attentive and fun too. It smells like heaven in there - smoked meats, they make several of their own sauces (they're all really good honestly) baked beans and their ribs did NOT disappoint. Juicy and delish! Met one of the owners, he was super friendly and told us about the live music etc a musical guests they have. Their food was really good tho, we also got some tri tip, pulled pork and chicken- all seasoned so well. Highly recommend.

Last minute bite to eat that isn't fast food & this was directly across the street from the truck stop. Gave it a shot & was very happy & surprised! GREAT atmosphere, EXCELLENT food, & the works were very friendly. Definitely going to stop again next time passing thru!

Love this place!! they are so welcoming and the food was amazing. I recommend the ribeye and clam chowder!

I had a serious hankering for some ribs today. They absolutely killed it. Ordered a full rack with their original sauce. best ribs I’ve had in this town. Crushed the whole rack with a few beers and I feel like a new man. Thick as hell and slid off the bone like that meat was never even attached to begin with.

Food was good just not to happy of what we got. My condolences workers and I pitch in to buy 2 bundles of food bundles. Definitely not worth the 90 bucks at all! Food was good just not enough of it

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and it was absolutely wonderful! The SERVICE was IMPECCABLE, the FOOD was DELICIOUS, and the ATMOSPHERE was FUN! We even played a couple games on their SLOT MACHINES! You're missing out if you don't stop in for LUNCH! FRIENDLY, FUN, and YUMMY! This place has it all!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thought we would give this a try since the location has been so many different businesses over the years and we love BBQ and can remember back to Granny’s Hut being here many years ago.

It is a nice looking place with pool tables, big dance floor, and large bar. First impressions were good, other than the entrance was not very clearly marked.

We sat at the bar as we usually like to have conversations and learn about a place from the staff. Not a great choice here. The server/bartender was not too interested in us but did give us some menus and eventually took our order.

As a side note, it was not very busy at all.

The first big negative was the servers use of the F-bomb during a conversation near us with some obvious friends of hers. Not cool or appropriate. It seemed she was more interested in her friends than the customers at times.

Next negative was the F-bomb from the music that was playing. In general the music was at a good level and mainly country but then a song that had the bomb in it at least a dozen times. Really? Do not need to be hearing that while I am eating.

Next negative was we did not get our clam chowder or salad before the main meal. The meal came first and then the soup and salad. Wrong order for sure and we even specifically asked to have them sent out at the same time. It did not seem like there was much connection with t(e kitchen and the server. We ended up taking it home.

Now the price. I know BBQ places have a higher price tag, but this was over the top. Way too expensive, especially when you consider the service or lack of it. If I spend $40 for a plate of food, I certainly have higher expectations and those were not achieved here. For two dinners and two drinks the tab was $100, that is pretty steep!

Food quality was good, not great, but it was good overall. Bang for the buck missed the mark though.

We love to eat at Chiefs in Coburg. Very similar types of food. Chiefs has better prices, better food, and better service. If you are in that area of Oregon (Eugene) make sure to give them a try.

Eat here and give it a try, maybe you will have better luck than we did, but this was a one and done for us.

Huge place with great food, pool, line dancing. They have a outdoor smoking section. A nice game room. Pool tournaments on Tuesday at 6pm. 🎱
