We camped overnight at the vineyard with our Harvest Hosts membership. We were happily greeted by Maggie, who was such a sweetheart. The wine was great! We also met the two resident dogs, who loved to play fetch and are adorable❤️
I will definitely visit again if I’m in the area.
The owners and staff are welcoming and you feel like your friends when leave!
Not to mention, their wine is really, really good👍🍷👍🍷

Freed Estate Vineyards offers a delightful winery experience with excellent wines. The General Manager is a great host, providing informative tastings of 5 for $10 or all 9 for $15. Members of Harvest Host can enjoy camp spots by the South Umpqua River. Visitors appreciate the knowledgeable and friendly staff, including wine hosts like Karla and Bryan, who engage guests with fun conversations and great recommendations. The red blend pairs well with a t-bone steak. Guests can relax in a lovely seating area, choosing between their covered patio or the indoor area, which features nice tables and art. Many enjoy observing the numerous pileated woodpeckers in the trees along the river. A nice gift shop with local crafts adds to the charm of this vineyard. The wine tasting fee is $12 per person but is waived with a two-bottle purchase per person.
