I give one star because we got seated, no one came asked if we wanted a drink, then the waitress went and took orders from the people that came Ina free us.
So we left at that moment...

I had the daily special Grilled Ham & Cheese. Worst I've ever had. 1 piece of barely melted cheese with 1 thinly sliced deli ham on a barely toasted sourdough bread. Absolute garbage

A wonderful local treasure. This old A&W location has been a staple in Winston for years. With their great recipes and treats, you can always count on Johnnys to be tasty. My favorite is the Power Wagon with multiple burgers with Johnnys sauce. The fries and shakes are perfect. The service is a little slow during busy times of day but always a good spot to relax and eat inside, outside, in your vehicle, or take to-go!
