We enjoyed our breakfast so much we when back the following day. The flavors, visual appearance of the food are excellent and yes vegan. We are not vegan people! Their eggs, sausage, blue berry pancakes.... all very good.

One of the most unique coffee shops on the planet. Variety of tasty, handcrafted beverages, scones, soups, and other breakfast/lunch treats. And the vibe is all its own. Long live the Green Salmon!

Hip little coffee joint on the coast. A bit on the busy side, but what're you gonna do in a tourist town. Good pastries!!

This vegetarian restaurant is awesome, with almost everything on the menu already vegan or can easily be made vegan. I had the Nemo’s fish tacos (made with Gardein fillets). A bit pricey, but the portions are large. I could easily eat here every day! Updated from previous review on 2026-02-03

You wouldn't expect this little town to have an all vegan breakfast/lunch spot, but they sure do, and its fantastic! I had the sausage breakfast sandwich with just egg and cheese on an everything bagel and a pour over coffee. Later in the day, I went back for another coffee and Chocolate Cordyceps cookie...also amazing. All the pastries looked amazing. I had a hard time choosing! I wish they served dinner.
Party of three entered from what appeared to a main entrance from the parking lot on the south side. We stood on the right (south) side of the counter and looked at menus. A party of two entered just before us and was standing on the left side of the counter, also looking at menus. Another customer came in and placed an order ahead of us while everyone was still looking at the menu, which was appropriate because everyone else hadn’t decided yet. The couple on the left side then ordered. By this time we’d been standing within arms length of the person working the counter for 7 - 8 minutes, and three more customers had filed in the north door and were now standing on the left side of the counter behind the couple. The couple ordered, and our daughter assumed we’d order next as we’d been the next longest waiting customers. My daughter announced what she would like to order, and the person behind the counter responded, saying she could not take our order because we were not in line and pointed to the line behind the three customers who had just come in. We responded by leaving, upset at the level of condescension.
There were no obvious signs about a line or where we should stand. The person at the counter undoubtedly saw us standing right in front of her and made no effort to draw our attention to our obviously poor etiquette and direct us to a proper line standing position. She waited until my daughter began to speak, and then seemed to take pride in brandishing a make believe authority over what was right and wrong, thereby adding another 10 minutes to our wait to really drive home the point. If you are that person and you read this, honestly answer to yourself what you thought our purpose for being in your establishment was.
So I cannot comment on the food, we felt so slighted and humiliated by the sheer pettiness that we could not do business here. However the food and service at the business directly south of here was absolutely without complaint at a similar price. I wouldn’t count on this business being open much longer if treating customers as anything less than the customer is the norm.

Best homegrown cafe experience. Vegan ingredients, but I think everyone will enjoy it (am not vegan). Tea, coffee, pastry, breakfast, lunch — everything we’ve ordered has been delicious.

Interesting experience, as some have noted, the woman at the counter was light on customer service and generally unfriendly but not outwardly mean to us. Other staff seemed friendly in brief interactions. We knew there were vegan options but did not realize this was a total vegan/vegetarian restaurant, maybe we missed the sign but after staring at the menu we realized all the meat items were gardein or some other meat substitute. I grew up a vegetarian so I'm used to it but even the eggs are plant based. We just ordered coffee tea and pastries and decided to eat down the street instead. Coffee and tea were good.

The cashier was condescending and, strangely, announced my total in nickels. When I asked again, he struggled, and then told me the total in pennies. I can't fathom how nickels was easier to divide then pennies... Odd behavior, but I smiled and tried to brush it off.
Unfortunately, the food made things worse. My wife and I were served the worst breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had; and they even smelled funky. The coffee was extremely bitter, too. We ended up throwing the food away and getting breakfast elsewhere.

Cute coffee shop. It seems to be open when Dream Machine across the street is closed.
Very cozy, great service, but it doesn't seem like a great place to launch a laptop 💻 Bring earbuds.
Don't let the New York style abrasive service deter you! The food is fresh, perfect portions, and worth the wait. Don't just stick with coffee. The teas and cocoas are amazing. If I am within 40 miles of the Green Salmon I will make a point to stop im and stock up. First store in over a decade that I purchased their merch and proudly wear it!

Thank goodness for Happy Cow. This was a great find on the way north from Florence right on Hwy 101. The food and pastries are amazing. Most everything is "plant based", but they do have dairy products, so be sure to specify all vegan just to be sure. The staff is very friendly and funny.
