Really nice staff & community vibe. Excellent food. Lots of options. We had the pancakes, tofu scramble and avocado toast. Plus two excellent pastries. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've had a croissant! Updated from previous review on 2025-05-04
We stopped at Green Salmon after reading that they might have "a few" vegan options. But we were delighted to learn that the cafe is ALL vegan by default now (though I think you can ask for dairy milk by request). They have a great menu, good coffee and tea, fun local gifts and great selection of ENORMOUS pastries. Definitely a treasure for vegans visiting Yachats, or just passing through.
Great little spot for coffee and tea and homemade vegan pastries! Sweet and savory pastries available. Great coffee and tea drinks and quirky little casual spot. They have a full breakfast menu but I can’t speak to that. We just had a savory ham and cheese pastry and a sweet maple glazed croissant.
Most delicious vegan cafe in the coast! The "omelet with ham and cheese and asparagus" was INCREDIBLE. Haven't had a vegan omelet before and it was SO delicious! Also, the best pancake I've had since being vegan. Everything was really incredibly good, and we love in Portland and are used to having plenty of vegan options.
So glad to find vegan food on the Oregon Coast. After a night of camping nearby, drove to Yachats for a cup of coffee and breakfast. The coffee was not great but good enough to enjoy while reading with a glimpse of the Pacific in the distance. For food, I ordered the Broccoli and Potato Breakfast Scramble. It was okay, it was nice to have the vegetables but the tofu scramble aspect of it was lacking in flavor and texture. I was underwhelmed, but with all of that being said, if I am on the coast near Yachats I will definitely be returning. I'll try something different on the menu.
All vegan with pastries, cocoa, huge variety of scrambles, sandwiches, teas, tee-shirts, tarot cards on the tables. In addition, the people/person working there, was phenomenal in her kindness, relating to each customer very personally. And btw, the food was delicious, prices fair in today’s inflation. Tip well, it’s deserved here.
No trip to Yachats (or surrounding area) would be complete without a stop at the Green Salmon. Their breakfast sliders are my favorite item on the menu - the Umaro bacon is THE best vegan bacon. All their pastries are amazing, too, but get there early before they sell out. So glad they made the choice to go fully vegan - thanks Green Salmon!
Such a fun space, friendly crew and delicious food. The coffee knocked me on my ass! High octane.

Stopped in here on an impulse the young lady behind the counter was very nice. The coffee was good if you ever stop in there, you have to try Breakfast croissants
Parking: The parking was a little tight for my big F350 other than that it was OK

We did not expect this place to be vegan so imagine how excited we were when we found out!! The staff were so kind and the pastries were amazing & sold out so quickly! We also loved the breakfast sandwich. The burrito had a little too much potato for us!

We've been coming to Yachats once or twice a year for five years; every morning we're in town we make Green Salmon our first stop of the day. The coffee, food, and the staff make every visit a welcoming one. If I could allow myself time to just sit here all day and take in the specialty drinks while admiring the scenery, I 100% would. I could live here. Also, I need to see who this Kyle dude is. Apparently I look almost exactly like him. See you all in 6 months, I hope!

All vegetarian menu, which I wasn't looking for, but didn't mind. The pastries are delicious! Finding a seat wasn't so easy, with limited booths and more than one occupied by one person on a laptop. I ended up tucked in a corner bar top next to a guy talking on his phone in French the whole time. Which wasn't really a big deal, except that he had the window seat so I was just staring at a houseplant...

This weekend was my first ever visit to Yachats, and this place was incredible! Their cold brew is absolutely delicious (and I'm a cold brew snob!). I love that their fruit scones have no added sugar. I also had the broccoli & cheese & potato tofu scramble plate -- very tasty. The staff were helpful and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. Really cool merchandise as well. I can't wait to come back here!

It’s the little things that go a long way. And this little spot in Yachats is my go to breakfast, coffee, lounge spot. The ingredients are fresh, savory, healthy, and plant-based. The drinks are creative, flavorful, and delicious. Kid friendly, dietary delectable. The eclectic staff and customers are a highlight of any Coastal trip.
