Just came in for a latte after lunch nearby. I didn't realize it was all vegan! I got a huge crinkle chocolate cookie made with mushrooms for $3. Yum. My friend said her chocolate chai was the best and I had a good latte. Cozy, fun place. All the entrees looked delicious. Sorry I was so full. Will return when in the area.
This was an exciting find on a drive down the Oregon coast, which otherwise, is not dense with vegan choices. We visited mid-morning, mid-week in summer to find a long line. The place is efficiently organized (enter the north door to join the order line, exit the south door), but still a bit slow. We ate in, had savory brunches (omelet, fish sandwich), cocoa with whipped cream, and fruit/cheese pastries - all vegan and good. I say 'almost' vegan because they do seem to serve cow milk on request. But everything is vegan by default. It's a little on the spendy size, but not by a lot, and it's great to have so many options in such an unlikely location. And I was very happy to see how busy and popular it was. (And they sell two kinds of dog treats!)
We found this place on a road trip up the 101 after many nights of eating whatever we could find that was vegan. We had the blueberry pancake special and the chorizo breakfast burrito, coffees and a raspberry danish and strawberry rhubarb pastry to go. It was spendy but completely worth it. They were the best vegan pastries I’ve ever had (and we live very close to Portland with lots of great vegan bakeries) The restaurant is small and the line was out the door when we got there but it moved pretty quickly and we found a table right away. There’s a lot to look at while you’re waiting in line. There’s restaurant sells tarot cards, homemade dog treats, cookies and all kinds of other stuff. We loved the decor. I wanted to stay in Yachats longer so we could have another meal there. Definitely worth going out of your way for.
Vibes? Immaculate! Food and drink? Delicious! Customer service? I felt like a friend <3 new favorite spot in Yachats
Love the avocado toast! Enjoyed the matcha green tea with cane sugar and soy milk. Chai was pretty good.
We paid over 16$ for two vegan oat milk mochas and a pastry. The coffees were terrible! I’m usually not a picky coffee drinker but this was just awful. Not to mention the cashier was extremely rude to us for no specific reason. I won’t be going back.
Friendly, funky, and humble breakfast and lunch place. This is not where you take your fussy friend. This is where you take your fun friend. Counter order and retrieve your food, but both indoor and outdoor seating. It got pretty busy and figuring out where the line started/ended got a little confusing. But everyone was good humored and we loved it. Portions were generous.
Felt unwelcome when my son and I came in, ordered 2 12oz drinks and the order was wrong and was told oh I heard large so that's what u got and we bought dog cookies and the lady behind the register leaned over to watch my son grab 3 as if he was gonna take more. Left saying thank you and was ignored 🙁
This place is just awesome! I'm usually not this complimentary about food places but I really can't fault the Green Salmon. Well done everyone there! My breakfast this morning...
A very unique and cozy place. The menu is all vegetarian. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Their lemonade is delicious on a hot day. We went a couple times during our weekend in Yachats. We had the breakfast scramble once, and the Cauliflower tacos and Sacred Cow Reuben the second time. They have delicious coffee drinks and fruit smoothies. The staff id friendly and accommodating.

The croissants are amazing! It's a neat coffee shop with a lot of unique tea options. Unfortunately, we got 2 lattes that were bitter and tasted like the espresso beans were burnt.
Phenomenal! Amazing food and staff!
This place is full of the love of people, love of amazing coffee and superb breakfasts with a down home feel the oatmeal pancakes were incredible and the coffee divine!
Really nice staff & community vibe. Excellent food. Lots of options. We had the pancakes, tofu scramble and avocado toast. Plus two excellent pastries. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've had a croissant! Updated from previous review on 2025-05-04
We stopped at Green Salmon after reading that they might have "a few" vegan options. But we were delighted to learn that the cafe is ALL vegan by default now (though I think you can ask for dairy milk by request). They have a great menu, good coffee and tea, fun local gifts and great selection of ENORMOUS pastries. Definitely a treasure for vegans visiting Yachats, or just passing through.
